I have an older brother who has autism. He's considered high functioning. It was really hard for my parents for a while but hes been great for a long time now. He's very independent. He cooks himself, cleans, works 40 hours a week doing janitorial work at fire stations and airports, goes for bike rides by himself, loves video games and movies, loves animals and people. He's the greatest person I've ever known and I love him to death. I wouldn't change him for anything. It may be hard at first but never give up hope. Also they say that peope with autism are very intelligent. They have so much intelligence that they dont know what to do with it all. They are quite amazing people.

I babysat a girl who had a form of autism. If I asked her a question she would repeat what I said instead of answering the question. Also, when she watched an episode of Dora the Explorer she could watch one episode and repeat EVERYTHING from the episode as soon as she watched it. It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen.
