Pregnancy & Parenting - 1 December 2007

I was thinking about my life and I've decided that I want to be a nurse because that is my childhood dream to help people and we can never have enough nurses in the world. A lot of people want to be a nurse for the money only and do not care about the people. At 20 years old I am sure a nurse is best for me because I am a people person and I feel I will make a great nurse.

Here's the questions: (for teens or whoever)
What do you want to be when you grow up?
Do want to go to Community College or a 4yr University?
Why did you make these choices?
And how do you plan to accomplish this?

my husband wants to have his birthday party at chuckie cheese next year when he turns 3, i'm not to sure of it cus, i know that when we go there he is going to wanna run around and play with everything, and not sit down to eat or open presents, thats why we didnt do it when he turned two cus i did not wanna be the one having to chase him around the whole place and make him sit so everybody can be happy he opens his presents. What do you all think?

There is a chance that i might be pregnant. It's too early to take a test and that isn't my question anyway. My question is that now i am soooo paranoid about everything i am doing. I mean will be shampoo i use hurt the baby or the lotion that i use. Believe me when i find out, if i am i will definately read everything on pregnancy to learn whatever i can but until then is there anything i really shouldn't be doing?? I don't smoke, I am gonna stop drinking alcohol now just in case, i eat healthy, and get some exercise. Thank you

My baby was born with very little hair (she NEVER got a BALD-SPOT though) ... Anyhow... She is 12 months old and on the back of her head she has about 1 inch long, but the front is still so short, that clippies fall out and ponies are out of the question... I'd say 1/4 of an inch.

So, for those of you who had a "bald" baby, when were you able to put clippies in her hair?

My 14 year old son asked me today if he was aloud to have 6 or so people stay the night. Usually I have no problem with this, however this time he wants to have girls and boys. Normally he just has boys stay. If you were in my situation, what would you?

SO I have a 7 year old brother who loves wrestling.. for the last 2 months, everytime he's gotten mad at my mom, he's now been doing these wresting moves on her (keep in mind that he's 4'6 80 pounds and 7 years old... she's 5'7 170 pounds and 45 years old).. With these moves (slammin her into the wall, knocking her on the couch, etc.) also comes spitting in her face and calling her all kinds of unmentionable names.. and guess what??? after it's all said and done, she'll still fix him dessert after dinner and let him stay up till 10 o' clock to watch more wrestling.. she says this is her way of "cutting down on more problems," but I don't buy it.. Should I contact Nanny 911 or club her in the head until she gets some sense or what???

and those "pictures" apparently the only skill she has is photoshop. anyone can make up photos like that, or download them off some website. no one with any sense would marry someone as nasty as her.

I would like to beat the crap out of her.

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 16 months, and I just don't feel like it is ever going to happen. He is 26 and I am 24. We are both healthy and happy people. I had to have a laparoscopy to remove endometriosis and cysts, but now I am "brand new" so my doctor says. I just need some happy thoughts from people with children that have experienced this. I am 26 weeks pregnant and for abou a week now I have been having really bad back pains along with leg and feet pains. For my entire pregnancy, (29weeks now) My mother in law (MIL) has been telling me that she is doing up his old cot (which is 24yrs old) Doing up, as in painting... I told her, I didn't want it - its my first baby and I really wanted to buy new things for the baby; its not like we can't afford to buy a new cot. I tryed telling her I didn't want it. Now I hear she has gone out and wasted money on paint (I heard from MIL mum that she spent alot on the paint) and she painted it and did it up. I am feeling really pressured now by my MIL and her mother.
In australia there are standards on the cots and they say not to use cots before 1998 because they didn't have safty standards. I've told my husbands Nan and she says she doesn't see why it would matter (she doesn't want me to hurt her daughters feeling by not taking the cot).. what do I do..
I am having problems talking to husbands mum now, she won't listen to me - shes trying to make choices for me and I can't take much more of it, help!

i asked a similar question yesturday, but i am so worried with what is going on with my body because everythings different this month. i am due for my periods tomorrow and for the past 3 days including today i have had very light bleeding not enough for a tampon, but maybe a small thin pad but the bleeding would only fill the pad less than a quater, it is brown with a bit of red in it, but today the brown looks like the colour of a normal poo colour but a bit lighter sorry sounds gross, and i have a tiny bit of what it looks like is dry dark red blood through it but only a very tiny bit. what does this sound like. i have also been have on occasion sharp crampy pains right down below for a few seconds. i also woke up this morning with sore boobs and for the past week and a half i have been having a sore lower back. what do you think this sounds like?????

Hi, I am a first time mom. My daughter will not sleep alone on her back. The only way she falls asleep is if I am holding her or I am laying on my back and she is on my stomach. I have tried the bassinett used as a bed side sleeper, a "snuggle nest" in my bed...letting her cry just a little...She just won't do it. It is difficult for me to keep sleeping with her on my stomach. I had a c section and had complications with that so I am tender. She is 6 weeks old. Any advice to get her to sleep, even if it's in bed next to me would be great. Thankyou so much!!:)
