I honestly dont have a clue as to whether it's a girl's or a boys name! I know I always found it difficult to see someones name and not know what gender it was before meeting them. I would think that this could cause the child some problems...well more like hardships later on in life. I agree with a previous section that if you love it, it would make a nice middle name, but I personally am not a fan for it as a first name. Good luck with everything! :)

Oooh I like it. Unique, but with a classy reference (the Bronte sisters, great writers - Emily Bronte's only work was Wuthering Heights, a classic love story!)

Maybe, for a girl's name. And that's a huuuuuuuge maybe. It sounds almost annoyingly high-brow. For a boy - no, as the famous authors Bronte were all women.

i like that name. My friends daughter is called Bronte and I think it makes them sound sweet. It is also nice if there is a nice middle name that goes with it?

I love the Bronte sisters as novelists, it's not a name for a child.

There was a character in the movie "Green Card" with this name. I really like it. Very unique and classy.

No sorry, not for a first name. Maybe for a middle name, though.
