Well Christmas is going to be rough this year we are in a finacial rut right now and i have 4 children. The oldest ones i can deal with they will understand why theres not much under the tree this year but how do you tell a 6 yo girl that? She still belives in Santa and i dont want to crush that in her and i cant give her more because of that thats just not fair. So my question is how do i tell my daughter or explain this to her with out crushing that belief in Santa. I know i could just not say anything and just let her open whatever we can manage to get for them but shes made her list to Santa already andits really not that big but still over our budget per child. What do you think would be the best way to go about this? And please noone say well you can afford the internet and all that but no x-mas for your kids cause things are tight i can pay my bills and keep food in the house just cant afford a large bill for x-mas. Thanks in advance

Hello,
I had a baby on September 1. I exclusively breast fed for two weeks and she was not gaining weight. I tried for a week to supplement with formula and she still lost weight after the third week. Then I started giving her more formula and she began gaining weight. At the time I breastfeeding almost every hour or more. I also pumped and the most I have ever gotten at one time after 45 mins was barely three ounces. I have now done mostly formula, but I still get a little discharge from my nipples if I sqeeze them. Is there any way I can get my supply back up to do breastfeeding exclusively? I have a good medela pump and I work 40 hrs a week, where I could go home for max an hour a day to pump. Also, just so you know, my bra size never changed during of after pregnancy. Is that normal?

I know not everyone is stupid to believe and actually do this but you know believe it or not their ARE some people out their that really DO NOT KNOW... If you are thinking about taking measures into your own hands with trying to speed things up please do not drink CASTROL OIL it is CASTOR OIL the first one is used for your car!!! I have seen like 50 people say this.. at first i thought people were doing typos but obviously not cause i keep seeing it done! Also here is a link about it:

My baby boy is a truly happy and energetic baby......... Always playing, trying to grab things and cuddling........ That is when he is being held, not neccesarily be me, but by anone. It seems like he wants a pair of legs to get around. I've bought him playmats and I get down on the floor with him, but no sirey. He wants to be high and on the same level as us.... the older ones :) He is a little strong willed so letting him cry it out and entertain himself is not an option. If he's entertained, in the stroller, the car seat (you know - on the go.......) he's fine, but I can't even put him down on the floor to watch tv. He tries standing up using whatever he can find (the bedskirt, furniture, my pants :) ) - but he's hit himself pretty bad like that... I've caught him crawling a few times so I know he can do it. But if I'm watching he will sit pretty with his hands up waiting for me to get him, no matter how long he has to wait. Any suggestions on how 2 help him b more indep Thx!

Is it normal to feel miserable at 33W. I am so over being pregnant. Can't sit, stand, bend over, dress myself. Tired of everyone including myself. Everything makes me want to cry or be angry.

i got an abortion in march...long story short i was with this guy for a year found out he was cheating he knew i knew he beat me and basically got me pregnant so i wouldnt leave him but i did anyhow. i aborted the child becuase i am only 20 and still living at home and doing the college thing and not financially stable. i also didnt want the father to have anything to do with it. i was with another guy by the time i did the abortion and we are still together. but i never told the father what i did the only one who knows is my current boyfriend. i am thinking about it a lot lately these days and i feel like i did wrong. should i talk to someone? did i do the right thing? i just feel like im goin crazy!

Alright i have been sitting since i was about 10ish.I can change diapers, cook (easy stuff, if needed) never leave the kids bored always play a game or go to the park sometimes i bring surprises and arts and crafts for them. I just want to know what a reasonable amount it to ask for. I originaly asked for 5$ an hour but now i find that a little for the lot that i do. I also went to the babysitting classes and will know CPR, since we are learning it on school on the 1st of december. I learned it at the babysitting class but i dont really remember some of the steps. Other clients pay about 7$ an hour or 6$. I dont want to go over 9$, thats kind of outragous. thanks!!!

My daughter is 2 1/2 years old. I want her to know about good touch and bad touch, since she goes to preschool now. Do you think this an appropiate age to talk about it, and how would you go about talking about it?

Did you simply stop taking birth control and hope for the best? Or did you create an ovulation calendar and planned for your "fertile days"?

Also, how long did you try before you conceived?

Thanks!

My nine year old daughter is starting to stay home with her 16 yr old brother by themselves after school for a few hours until I get home from work. I want to print out a safety list to remind her of some rules. here's what I've thought of so far:
Door locked at all times
Do NOT answer the door
Only answer phone if it's me, dad, or grandma (we've got caller ID)
No cooking on the stove

She's a very responsible little girl and I'm only 5 minutes from them if anything were to happen. Still if anyone has any ideas for my list, let me know! Thanks.

I have an 11 year old daughter that still wets the bed. She has been to specialist after specialist and the only thing i get is "she will grow out of it when she hits puberty". She does get UTI's sometimes but they are starting to get fewer. The Dr's have ran tests and there is nothing physically wrong with her except that she holds her urine too long and her bladder "overflows". As for the UTI's she wears cotten panties, no baths, goes to the bathroom every 2 hours, limited drink intake before bed, no sodas, and low sugar. We do everything the dr tells us to do and she still has a problem! I know there s meds out there that controls this type of thing and that there are other people out there with this same problem. Can anyone please provide me with some info? Or maybe just some words of encouragement because the laundry soap and sheets and cloths are really starting to add up over the years!!!!
