Did you simply stop taking birth control and hope for the best? Or did you create an ovulation calendar and planned for your "fertile days"?

Also, how long did you try before you conceived?

Thanks!

we just said "what ever happens, happens" we didnt try on certain days, and we didnt take any precautions. It only took 3 months for me to become pregnant! and the doctor said it would be hard for me because i have a bicornuate (heart shaped) uterus, and a tilted uterus.

We didn't have sex before marriage. After we got married we didn't use birth control either and we were expecting to conceive obiously but after 9 months of nothing we were a little worried. Well it happened after 10 months! No ovulation calendar, or special planning, we just had natural unprotected goodness like almost every day lol. :P

(I did keep track of my period so I would know when the baby is due. My period has always been very regular. )

I went off the pill in march & at first was just letting "nature take its course", then after a few months of trying, I started keeping track of my periods on my calendar so that I knew my average cycle length. I got on mymonthlycycles.com & went to the ovulation calculator to track my fertile days. I am now 6 1/2 weeks pregnant. It took all of 8 months after going of birth control to get pregnant.

Tip: Stay in bed after intercourse for at least 20 mins. with a pillow under your hips or with your legs up on the wall...giving the sperm a better chance of getting to your egg!

I came off the pill and waited 2 months for my body to sort its self out, and then i worked out the dates when i was most fertile,
You are more fertile between 11-13 days after the first day of your last period. The first time it happened first month, Second time 2 months but sadly ended in miscarriage, the 3rd time was 2 months after the miscarriage and the forth time i was still on the pill, so it was a very happy mistake,
Good luck and happy trying........

I stopped taking the pill and two months later pregnant after being on the pill for 12 years. Also I went to my DR for a pre pregnancy checkup. We went over when are the best days to try and conceive and she told me days 10-17 after your period so the day you start your Period is day 1 ect. And not every day everyother day and next thing ya know I AM PREGNANT. I have shared that with others and the same for them got pregnant. it is not a for sure way but hey anything works. Or talk to your dr about it. JUST DON"T STRESS ABOUT IT.

All the above. I spent 14 years trying to get PG, even with fertility drugs...stopped short of invitro because of the expense. Some 4 years later the doctors told me that I was peri-menopausal and that I would never get PG. I gave up all hope. Divorced my second husband because he wanted kids of his own, didn't want to adopt and I couldn't give them to him. Started dating again. 6 months later I got PG..docters were wrong! Now I'm a proud single mother of a baby girl 9 months old.

It only took us a few months, I tried ovulation prediction kits, but found them a waste of money. Yes we looked at the calender and did the math, but it is best not to stress over that either.

Good Luck

My partner and I weren't really trying to get pregnant but we weren't trying to prevent pregnancy either. That was the case for about 3 1/2 months and then we found out I'm expecting.

I was calculating my ovulation, using those sticks and taking my temperature with no luck. I threw it all out the window and got pregnant the next month. I'm now due any day with my little girl.
