With all three of my pregnancies they saw nothing at about 4 weeks. I asked the doctor how the hel* they couldn' see anything. But at 5 weeks with my first and six with my second I saw what looked like a black bubble which they told me was the "sac" the baby was in. For them to see nothing at this point is completely normal. Congrats to you on the new baby!

I went in to the doctors and had an ultrasound done at about 4-5 weeks along. They found a gestational sac as well as an yolk sac- but they are making me go back in, in a couple of weeks to see how everything is progressing. Apparently I went in too early. (they only did the ultrasound because my periods had been so screwed up- that they wanted to use the ultrasound to establish a due date- but it was too early for even the ultrasound to find that out :) )

I believe it's after 7 weeks that you'll see a baby that looks like a little peanut. I didn't have my first ultrasounds until 8 weeks with #1 and 10 weeks with #2.
