my daughter(13) has this friend who is 14yrs old..very cute girl...but she's got to alway try to one up my daughter..my daughter is in the national junior honor society and has started doing her volunteer work and community service for it and now this girl (well actually i think it's more her mom) has decided that she wants to do the same things as my daughter but she is going to "do so much better" then my daughter..when my daughter was on the cross country team this girls mom made her join the team also and then the mom had a fit because the girl wanted to quit...my daughter has some really amazing goals for her life and the other girl wants to be a trophy wife and her mom keeps comparing her to my daughter and pushing the kid to do everything that my daughter is doing but even better...both my daughter and i are sick of the competitiveness from the mom and the friend...but my daughter doesn't have alot of friends so she's afraid to tell this girl that she doesn't want to be friend

FOR WEEKS SHE WENT TO SCHOOL WITH NO PROBLEMS, THEN SUDDENLY SHE STARTED TO CRY EVERY MORNING. SHE SAID A LITTLE BOY WAS BOTHERING HER. WE ADDRESSED THAT PROBLEM. HE DID NOT THINK POPPING HER ON THE ARM SHOULD BE A PROBLEM. ANOTHER BOY TAKES HER SCISSORS OR PAPERS. WE THINK THIS PROBLEM IS RESOLVED. SHE HAS TO HELP THE OTHER KIDS OFTEN ON THEIR CLASS WORK. SHE SAYS SHE IS SCARED, BUT REALLY CAN'T SAY SCARED OF WHAT. AND HER THROAT HURTS HER. THE LOUD NOISE OF THE OTHER CHILDREN SEEMS TO IRRITATE HER EARS. WE HAVE TAKEN HER TO THE DR. AND HE CANNOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. SHE IS AN ONLY CHILD AND HAS A VERY LOVING FAMILY AND HAS BEEN RAISED BASICALLY IN A BUSINESS OFFICE AND IS MENTALLY ADVANCED FOR HER AGE. HAS BEEN POTTY TRAINED BY HER OWN INSISTANCE SINCE 17 MONTHS OF AGE AND HAS TALKED IN SENTENCES SINCE ABOUT 20 MONTHS OF AGE. SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A VERY HAPPY CHILD AND MOSTLY PLAYED ALONE OR WITH ADULTS. CAN WE HELP HER ADJUST AND NOT BE SO SAD.

My daughter is 6 and yes i know absolutely nothing has happened to her but when she takes her showers in the morning she locks the door. Which I guess would be fine but she is the sort of kid that still needs help rinsing out ALL the soap and she also has to be pushed along a bit as she will take an hour long shower if let her. I asked her why she locks the door and she says because her little 2 yr old brother will come in if not which I understand it is cold here if the door gets opened but I told her knock it off and explained it too her that I still need it to help and I am not sure if she is just grumpy cause it is morning or what but now I am mean????

Recently our 4-week old son has started sleeping (or not sleeping) sporatically. He will sleep about an hour at a time and then awake for an hour or two. He did this all day long yesterday. He woke up when we were ready for bed last night then he was up until 2:00 am. Then awake again at 3:00 am, back to sleep at 4:00 am. Up at 5:00 am until 7:00 am then back to sleep. He just started doing this on Sunday. He was fussy most of the day Sunday and gassy. We treated it with an over the counter medicine for gas in babies and it helped but now he has adopted these weird sleep patterns.

Any suggestions about what might be causing this? Outside of the fact that we are exhausted and really want our baby to sleep, do we have reason to be concerned?

I am not a huge fan of the Harry Potter books, but I do like the films. My question is this...why is every one so up in arms that one of the main characters is gay? I think it is stupid! Christian groups are so up set that Dumbledore is gay, but I thought they did not read the books because it promoted witch-craft? AHHHH I am Christian and I am tired of the ignorance, and the petty causes Christians fight for, are there not more pressing issues in the world other than a gay fictional character in a book they are not supposed to read? Christians wonder why people look at us like inbred, ignorant, boarder line retarded, jerks! Please tell me I am not the only one who feels this way!

It's time to potty train my son. I know it's recommended to wait until I think he's "ready," but we have a bit of a problem. He just turned 2 last week and he's huge for his age. He's not fat; the dr. said he's in great shape. He's just tall and sturdy.

The problem is that my son is now in the largest size diapers available. He hates cloth diapers and won't wear them so I don't know what I'm going to do when he outgrows this size. The best solution I can come up with is to start potty training him now. He will pull down his pants and training pants (which can't double as diapers since they don't work overnight and I have to change them as soon as he wets them or they pop when he sits down) and sit on his potty chair, but he won't actually pee. He thinks this new game is really fun and he's having a great time, but he's not quite making the connection.

What's the best way to help him understand what he's supposed to be doing?

I have washed it over and over again but it still has that smell in it. I don't have a dishwasher so is there anything that I can use to remove the smell? Or should I just toss the cup.I know that it's clean but the odor makes me nervous.

Yesterday my temp dipped below coverline at 6 dpo and today it went back up but FF website now says I didn't ovulate and they removed my red cross on there completely. I am so confused. I was so excited that my temp was above my coverline this morning but then I enter it in on the website and then it now says I didn't ovulate. What do you think? Has this happened to anyone else?

Any advice would be helpful. If my temp is still high or higher tomorrow will FF put my ovulation date back on my chart? Thanks in advance for the help!!!

Yesterday my son (age 9) had an Old Navy credit card with a lady's name on it. I asked him where he got it and he said that Kyle gave two to Steven so Steven gave one to him. That Kyle had more of them and he was giving them to his friends.

I explained to him that it was a real credit card and that someone probably stole them. I told him that if he ever got caught with stolen credit cards he could be in trouble with the law. I told him to never take anything like this from a friend again.

It was 9pm, but I was worried that Kyle's parents (or Grandmother) didn't know what was going on, so I went to their house. The Grandmother answered the door. I asked her if she knew the lady owning the card - no, but she knows a kid with that last name. I told her that Aaron had the card and said that Kyle had more. I said, "I thought you might want to know so you can explain to him that he could get in trouble if they are stollen cards".

I'm only a few weeks along and I'm going to the doctor in two days. My boobs are so sore and swollen. I'm really self conscious about them. I need to know what I can do to make the swelling go down and the pain to end. It seems that the only thing that has helped is losing a couple of pounds just so they can breathe. I am in hell and disgusted with myself.

My son, nearly 7 months, has red dots around his eyes, mostly in the morning. Doctor said it was just an irritation and not to worry too much about it. Today its the worst I've seen. Anyone know what this could be? Could it be allergies; an infection?

I am gay. Always will be, in this lifetime at least.

Anyway, I want kids. 2 of them. One day.

I want a boy, and I like the name Semaj. James and the Giant Peach was my favorite Roald Dahl as a child. And Semaj is simply James, but in reverse.

Is it normal to adopt a boy, and then be able to change his name, free of charge? I somehow doubt it. And I'm not gonna lay up with some girl I don't even know/care about, so that's out of the question.

All I want is a boy, and then a girl later on. Maybe he could give her advice while she's still a child, and protect her.

I know there are no guarantees, but those are my future wishes, as well as finding a nice guy to settle down with. And to travel. A LOT.

Thanks.

I don't know what to think. I am 12dpo today and tested first thing this morning using a supermarket brand pregnancy test. It almost straight away showed two blue lines - although the second blue line was really really faint - meaning that it was positive. Anyway, about an hour or so later, I tested using a First Response and it was negative - no matter how hard I tried to see a line. I feel so dissappointed! Why has this happened do you think?
