I am gay. Always will be, in this lifetime at least.
Anyway, I want kids. 2 of them. One day.
I want a boy, and I like the name Semaj. James and the Giant Peach was my favorite Roald Dahl as a child. And Semaj is simply James, but in reverse.
Is it normal to adopt a boy, and then be able to change his name, free of charge? I somehow doubt it. And I'm not gonna lay up with some girl I don't even know/care about, so that's out of the question.
All I want is a boy, and then a girl later on. Maybe he could give her advice while she's still a child, and protect her.
I know there are no guarantees, but those are my future wishes, as well as finding a nice guy to settle down with. And to travel. A LOT.
Thanks.

First off, I want to say Thank you, for wanting to give a needy child a home and family. And secondly, I love love love the name Semaj. I think it's unique, creative and ssooooo cute. (The adoption stuff i'm not sure.) Good Luck with Life!!

Well get the travelling out of the way first...or be prepared to do it when you are old and retired! 2 kids cost heaps!
I think you are able to change their name but probably at a price.
Semaj isn't a bad name actually, little strange but not offensive sounding like some of the 'made-up' names I hear on here. Sienna would be a nice complimentary name for Semaj.
Best of luck and I hope that you find a wonderful man to settle down with one day and be blessed with 2 beautiful children. Don't rule out Surrogacy if adoption doesn't work out. At least then the child will have 1/2 your genes so would biologically be yours! and you could name him/her what ever you wanted from the startQ
good luck

Some people are so ignorant! I am truly sorry for that! I know that gay/lesbian couples can do foster care so I dont know why they couldn't adopt.
I would highly suggest doing all of your traveling now, or save it until after they are grown up....I haven't even had my baby yet and my bank account is starting to drain!
I dont know if you can change their name free of charge or not....I do like that name though, it isn't so far out there that he would get ridiculed but unique enough where he would stand out in a crowd. (James and the Giant Peach was a great movie, I haven't seen that in years!) I do like the other suggestion fora girl name Sienna....I think that is very beautiful!
I wish you best of luck in your future.

It still amazes me in this enlightened age how little people know about gay rights, and how ignorant some people really are. I think it's wonderful that you want to adopt a child, whenever that will be. Being gay or not shouldn't matter at all. And it doesn't matter in most states when you file for adoption. That would be discrimination wouldn't it? The name you chose is unique and interesting! It reminds me of my friend who named his son "Sagan." Is there any reason why you didn't chose "James?" Just wondering... I'm hopeful that by the time your daughter is growing up, the world will be a more accepting place and there will be much less need to have to "protect" her about her parent(s) being gay. ღ♥ღ♥ღ

I think it really depends on the question. I have only done it once and that is because this person hated America so much that I wanted to see if he was just trying to shock people or if he really was sluing his hate. Came to it that he had many questions about why America should be brought down it was very sad. See most people just ask questions to ask, but there are others who need the attention whether it is good or bad. Attention is attention. Good Question and good luck with the answers you get!

I will attempt to ignore the fact that you are gay and answer a number of other alarming things you posted.
First, you keep refering to them as "a boy" or "a girl". You will be their father. You should want "a son" and "a daughter". You sound like you're going to the pet store to get some new rats!
News Flash!! There are tons of ways to make babies now, only one of which involves "laying up with some girl I don't even know/care about." With a doctor's help, you could pick out an egg donor and supply your own sperm to have a child that is genetically half you. Then you could find a surrogate to carry it. Or you could just find a woman friend to carry your child. Or you could adopt, but you would be an unlikely candidate since you are single and already have a preference for which gender you get.
If you have two children, you will not travel much, and you definately won't travel A LOT. If you travel and leave them at home, you are definately a poor candidate for a parent. Again, they are not pets, they are children.
Finally, the name Semaj is tired. Every stupid white girl that wants an illegitimate "cute black baby" has named the child Semaj. Sorry to bag on your dream, but come on....
In closing, I think it would be better if you watched QVC when Marie Osmond sells her dolls. Then you could get two, a boy first then a girl. You could name them whatever you want, and nobody would care!! Then you could travel A LOT and child protective services wouldn't be at your door.

Hey, they don't let gay people adopt children.
Well, at least i don't think so.
i think it is stupid, there is no rule saying that a child needs to be raised by a man and a woman...you know, cause single parents have there kids taken away.
anyway, i would say the only guranteed way to have a child is to just sleep with a woman who will be willing to cary your child.
