Yesterday, Me and my girlfriend went to buy a First-Response kit. She took the test around 3pm and told me it came out negative -to our relief (this happened 5 days AFTER her missed period). To make sure I did further research and found out that the hCG levels, that First-Response makes it's results from, is better in the morning. We plan to test again this coming Thursday in the morning (8 days AFTER her missed period). I read the box and it says it can tell you as early as 5 days BEFORE a missed period. I just wanted to know if taking the test AFTER almost a week of her missed period gives us a higher probablity that the first test was correct. Like, would the hCG levels still be fluxuating so that taking it in the afternoon would give us false results? Also, if there is neither a greater nor lesser chance of her hCG levels having been at fault, how trust worthy is First-response? Ignoring everything I've said, what are the chances that this second test differs from the first one?

Just wondering if its possible to ovulate shortly after your period. My boobs really started hurting yesterday and AF isn't due until 11/5/07. my boobs normally start hurting one week before it's due.

My period has never come 1 week earlier than normal either.

my last pregnancy in Feb, it seemed like my boobs hurt at least 2 weeks before AF was due, but i also MC in March

I dont know what I am going to do..I am only 18 and I am about 8 weeks pregnant and I just found out that my insurance (CDPHP through Medicaid) wont cover and epidural ..only if the doctor deems it "Medically Necessary" ..which means (and I asked) that they wont just give it to me for pain. I'm not sure where to go from here..Im in school and dont work full time and therefore cant get insurance through my job and my grandmother said that even if i were to get a different insurance that they wont cover a "pre-exisiting condition",and I that I would of had to have insurance for 10 months prior to getting pregnant? My grandmother also is begging me to get an abortion and I think maybe she is saying this on purpose? Please help!

Am asking this question because i have my brother son, and he is one week old, i have put my hand close really close to his eyes and wave with my hand, but the baby do not blink. please advice is this normal?

My allergies and/or siuns have been giving me the blues. The doctor prescribed Zyrtec whihc I took prior to being pregnant. BUT the warning label says "The medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy". Now I'm considering just delaing with the allergies because that warning freaked me out.

Ok, Im a mother of 3 little ones. My 11 month old daughter is totally healthy and developing wonderfully. I know they say to hold off on cows milk til 12 months, but is that 1 month really that big of a deal? I really am looking for responces from people who have given milk earlier than one. I woke up this morning with a "heavy", kinda crampy feeling in my lower abdomen where my baby bump is forming. I've looked online and see that "round ligaments" begin to stretch around 12-14 weeks...yada yada. Is there any cause for this feeling? Is this normal? I've found info on cramps in the EARLY first trimester, but nothing for the latter part. The cramps aren't really bad, more like a dull ache. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm still paranoid about miscarriage.

Just because you did it a certain way, doesn't that's the only way, or the right way. My complaint this is my complaint just because you gave your baby milk under one and nothing happened doesn't mean it's okay.

ok im only 22 weeks but the other day i went to the hospital and her (baby) heart rate was up to 185!!!!
my mother went into preterm labor w/ me around 30 weeks,
and my grandmother also!!!
im already having braxton hicks contractions.. is that weird??
and now i can feel some uncomfort in/on my pelvic bone!!!
im really worried!!!
also i've had a lot of stress during the pregnancy,
im 16 and i just moved out the beginning of the month...
your opinions and advise are greatly appreciated!!!
