Vaginal pain is not a sign of just dilation, generally its more common to have period like cramps when your dilating. Pains in your vagina are common later in pregnancy from the weight of the uterus, and the position of the baby, and more commonly than not internal vaginal hemorrhoids.

Everyone woman has these pains. Youre fine. If you're super concerned, call your doctor.

It's possible that the vaginal pain you're feeling is just your muscles and cartilage in your hips and pelvis stretching. If you have an appointment on Friday, I'd suggest calling your doctor to see what he/she would advise you to do. At 30 weeks, you shouldn't be contracting quite yet, with the exception maybe of Braxton Hicks irregularly. I'd call and just see what your doctor says. He/she may want you to get it checked out, or they may be able to bump your appointment up and get you in sooner to check you out.

Good luck!

Just keep your Friday checkup unless you notice bleeding or severe pain.

Dilating this early is normal. Those sharp pains are likely just that. This happened to my sister...she stayed at 2 cm for a month after that.
