I don't know what to think. I am 12dpo today and tested first thing this morning using a supermarket brand pregnancy test. It almost straight away showed two blue lines - although the second blue line was really really faint - meaning that it was positive. Anyway, about an hour or so later, I tested using a First Response and it was negative - no matter how hard I tried to see a line. I feel so dissappointed! Why has this happened do you think?

its just your 2nd urine was more diluted and your first morning urine had more hormone in it which is what is ment to happen. You are pregnant babe but just early. take another one in the morning. good luck. wish my time would hurry up and come

The second test probably said negative because you had already used the best wee with all the hormones in it for the first test. At only 12dpo it would be wise to only use your first morning wee and then wait for the next day to re-confirm.
However if you have had a positive result no matter if it was faint, then I would be inclined to think you are pregnant but because its so early that's why it was faint. Wait 3 or so days and test again or better yet just go and book in with the doc to get the ball rolling and they will do a blood test which will be much more accurate!

get a digital Clear Blue, no guessing if there is a line. It tells you "Pregnant" or not. Good Luck
Ps. Did you drink a lot of water before you took a second test? That could affect the results.

I think you should consider yourself pregnant. I don't really like those expensive tests... There is one, I think it is clear blue easy that shows a positive line on some tests before it is even peed on. Go to the dollar tree and get one of those they have. They detect at 25mlU. Get 3 of them and test all three and see what your results are.

i had that happen to. I bought 1 cheap one and one good one. the cheap one was postive, i waited an hour and the good one was neg. My doc said i probably tested too soon. the reason the second one was neg was because i didnt have enough hcg built up in the urine. i was preg, i had a m/c. so get a good one wait until tomorrow morning and test again. if its postive see a doc and get it confirmed with a blood test. good luck

the exact same happened to me on saturday, i did a test which had a faint positive and than jus tto double check i did another abit later which was negative so do what im going to do and go to your gp and get a blood test. that way youll know either way. good luck and i hope you get the news you want

First urine of the day is the best one to use, especially that early. I was still getting negative results up to 17dpo, so you've gotten a positive pretty early. Try again using the first morning urine.
