I'm thinking of the name Livea Rose. It's my take on Olivia, but my dad said that teachers and other people she with encounter will try to add and 'O' to the beginning. I just think Livea is different and she would appreciate it more in life.

someone told me they though surnames were only good for boys. We once thought of harper and parker for girls (we have changed our minds though) but a few people said surnames are weird for girls what do you think, just curious?

My sister is pregnant. Her ex-boyfriend (for now) is a drug runner. He is abusive, on drugs, crazy, in and out of jail and soooooo much more. How can I convince her its best for the child if he is not in her life? I understand that she will ultimately do what she wants but I'd like to try to push her in the right direction.

Recently after I got home from work early, I walked into my daughters room to see if she was home yet, and I saw her and my son engaging in sexual intercourse. I quickly stopped them and sent them to their rooms, but how am I supposed to talk to them about this? She is 16 and he is 15 by the way. This is my first pregnancy and I have no idea what contractions feel like! I'm 36 weeks pregnant and i go to the doctor tomorrow. A girl that had her baby about 2 months ago told me when she went at 36 weeks they didn't check her because she told them she hasn't been having contractions. I really don't know how to tell if I am or not. How can I tell?!

I'm 20 and my fiance is 22.. we have been together for 2 years and engaged for 1 year. We defiantely wanted to wait to have kids until we were maried but things happen ya know. We were planning a wedding in June if we're pregnant we'll prob get married in the beginning of December. Anyways... not sure yet if we are pregnant but kinda thinkin so... its too soon to be able to tell. Anyways... MY QUESTION
How do I go about telling my parents if I am? I would just be scared because I would feel like I'm sucking as a daughter. They are both very religious... but not like strict catholic religious... like relaxed in love with God religious. I just don't want to break their hearts. This is not what I planned either... so what do i do!?!?! Thanks much all!

I am going to school to become a CNM, certified nurse midwife. Now I have always said that I want to practice under a DR and deliver in hospitals but I have witnessed more and more home births and they have been extrodinary!!!! I have even seen a lotus birth, which is something that not many hospitals will allow, at least I don't think. Anyway just wondering what the general consesus is on this matter. I am seriously considering doing both hospital and home births now!!!

I have a 1 month old who was almost 4 weeks premature. He is healthy, strong, gaining weight etc.

We have family in the hospital delivering a baby, which we will be visiting. Is it a bad idea to bring the baby? It will be hard to visit without bringing the baby. Our baby will just be visiting the mother and child floor.

ok 2 days ago i took a pregnancy test and it came out positive, i took another one today just to be sure and yet again it came out positive. I've been really really tired i cant even get out of bed. & just the thought of coming home makes me nauseated because of the smells. I also get really bad headaches & back pain. Well my question is how long do i have to wait to make my first appointment with a doctor?

My son is barely 3 weeks and not a diaper changing has passed that he hasnt pooped.. He is breastfeeding and I was told that he would have more poopy diapers than my daughter did, but is it suppose to be this many? I was going to ask the doctor at his 2 week visit but it totally slipped my mind "my daughter was getting her 18 month shots". He goes back again for his 4 week checkup this Wenseday, and I will ask believe me, but for now it doesnt seem to be bothering him. Just me.. Has anyone else gone through this with there child and if so what was up with it. Will it pass or was there something wrong with the bowel?

At 12 weeks pregnant I began to have pain in my wisdom tooth but the dentist said he couldnt remove it because he couldnt x-ray the tooth. Instead I was given enthromycin to take ( i am allergic to penicillin).

I didnt always remember to take it on time but when I did remember, I took it. The pain seemed to subside for some months so I assumed the medication had done its job despite that I took it erratically.

Now I am almost 38 weeks pregnant and the pain has returned worse than ever! I am currently on about 4 paracetemol a day - the paracetemol works, but I just wonder whether its just better to get the tooth removed altogether now.

Are x-rays safe at this later stage fo pregnancy, or is it still dangerous? And in general is it safe to have the tooth yanked out at this late stage?

I am 5'3", 21 yrs old, my mom is 4'11", my dad is 6'0"
