its true, my birthmother called me tonight (we have known each other for about 8 years now) she says "someone wants to say hi to you", it was my birthfather!! talk about a shock!
i am a little concerned though, when i found my b/mother i was on cloud nine, literally exhuberant, but i am leary of him.
i wanted to find him and together we were searching, so its not hostility, but could it be something else? or am i putting too much emphasis on this and i am still in shock?
anyone have any words of encouragement to help me along until i meet him (in about 2 weeks)?
thanks all, i appreciate your help

I have full custody of my kids and I was wondering?

Usually its the women who end up with the kids and everything else. With that in mind, men are the ones who have to deal with the woman's kids if there are any.

How would women deal with the kids that live with dad full time? Or, does it matter to them?

my cousin is pregnant and considering adoption for her baby. we're pretty close and we're worried about it.

see, she already loves the unborn baby. but without going through the pregnancy and bonding to the baby, is it the same? do adoptive parents have unconditional love for their child, or is it like raising someone else's kid: you like them, but don't love them. if you have one biological child and one adopted one, do you love them the same way, unconditionally, or do you love the biological one more? be honest please. this is online and anonymous.

and to birthmothers: do you regret placing your child for adoption? do you think that you could give your child a better home then their adoptive parents do? if you had to do it over again, would you change any of your decisions regarding your pregnancy?

I'm looking for a natural way to start labor. I have been told that castor oil works but that is harmful to the baby. I have tried walking and riding in a car on bumpy roads. This only made me uncomfortable. Sex has not worked either. Any other suggestions?

i am 16 years old n i have a beautiful 4 month old daughter. 1 month b4 i gave birth i got married (everytime i say this people write me like idiots cuz they dont kno florida law. look it up b4 u asume im lying) the man i married is not her biological father. he has been there since i was 3 months pregnant n he is still here. he is the only father she kno's. my ex is her biological father. when i first found out i was pregnant he was nervous but happy (i was 15 he was 17) after my family found out the basicly went crazy!! n then he got scared n told me to have an abortion. there was no way in hell i was killing my child!!! so i started telling him he wasnt the father. we no longer talk n havent since then. should i tell him that i lied? should i let him kno that he has a child? does it even matter? in this situation what would u do?

My 7 year old has been trying to crawl for months now. She pushes up with her feet but when she does this she pushes her face on the ground, when she pushes with her arms she drags her legs. Any ideas on how to help her with this?!

Also she has been able to sit on her own since she was 3 months and as long as she has our hands she can pull herself into the sitting position but she can't seem to figure out how to pull herself in the position herself. Any ideas for this as well?!

I know all children learn when it's right for them but my daughter can stand and took her first steps the other day and I just think it might be more helpful for her to be able to at least be able to getting herself in the sitting position herself.

Also is it normal that she is trying to walk before she can do the other things?! or is she just learning in a different pattern?!

I am 26 weeks and look at different websites to see what is developing with our baby. A couple have said that babies actually breath the amniotic fluid to get the response to involuntarily breath once they are born and to work the lungs. Is this true has anyone heard this before.

It's been almost 18 weeks since the first day of my last period and my doctor has prescribed me provera (or something similar, I pick up th Rx on monday). I have many pregnancy symptoms and have told my doctor. However, every urine test I have taken has been negative. I don't have health insurance so I can't get a blood test. The doc said after I take the 10 day dose I should start a heavy period, but if I don't to come back in. I'm scared to take it because if I am pregnant I don't want my baby to be harmed.

Im having issues with my ex-husband regarding my daughters last name. When she was born we were seperated, and actually he was served with divorce papers when she was 1 week old. He was in a relationship with someone else, and questioned if our daughter was really his. So I gave her my maiden name, which is my only last name, and left his name out of it. He rarely see's her, or makes any real effort to be part of her life. He just got remaried and has another child on the way. He now wants our daughters name hyphenated to reflect his and his new families. I am completly against this. What do you think?

Ok lets just say my new wife and ex wife do not get along. The problem is i share custody of my 8 yr old with my exwife, we have been divorced for 4 yrs.Hear are my 2 problems.1. My ex wants to have joint b-day parties for our son but my new wife wants us to have seperate ones(meaning my son has 1 with us and 1 with his mom) this is how we have always done it since the divorce but my ex want to combine them now to "share the work/expense" 2. My ex does not want my new wife to attend parent/teacher conferences with me.My new wife feels she should go as my son lives with us 50% of the time and my ex should not go with me since we are divorced and my ex should go on her own. I agree with my new wife but i want to do whats best for my son.

I am 39 weeks and 5 days pregnant, and no baby. I think she's never going to come out. What's up with all the tenderness down there. It's only bad when I first wake up in the morning or try to turn over in bed. I'm a cm dialated and still very thick. No braxton hicks contractions so far. Did any of you other mommies go anywhere near your due date? I heard only 5% go on there due date and 80% go 2 weeks early or late. So far this pregnancy has been a complete breeze. Pregnancy is really easy. Just want to know if you other mommies knew when it was time and also your stories of your experiences.

Ok, I asked a question early about anyone having ideas on some baby names that me and my husband could agree on. So far we have dicided that if we have a girl her name would be Alyssa Danielle. We have also decided to use Isaac if it is a boy, the problem is now is that we cant decide on the middlle name. Nothing seems to fit. Help!!! answer me some ideas.

Alright so here is my problem:

I've been dancing since I was 3. When I entered 8th grade I started voulenteering and helping teaching younger kids dance classes and now I'm in 11th grade. This year I'm helping out with a 2nd-3rd grade competiting class and a Kindergarten class. I absolutely love teaching and helping with classes and being with the little kids. The problem is that my mom doesn't like to drive me to and from my dance studio (I don't have my lisecense yet). Plus she just doesn't like me helping out because of other issues she has with my dance teacher.

So awhile back I sent in an application both for a job and to voulenteer at a local YMCA near my house. If I get accepted for voulenteering there I would most likely help in the daycare. Which obviously I like that because I like little kids.

Now I need to decide if I should continue helping at dance even though my mom doesn't like it and not at the Y. Or should I just drop helping at dance and (continued)
