I used to run track in 9th grade, & there was this bully who used to pick on me CONSTANTLY & trip me in the hallways every single day, & no one did anything about it. So she tripped me on the bleachers & thought it was funny, trying to prove her friends a point, & I almost fell off & sprained my ankle. So I turned around & knocked her sunglasses off of her face. I almost went to jail but she didn't because she got her friends to lie for her as fake witnesses. As a result, the coach kicked me off the track team & not her, & my former foster mom punished me from playing sports until I turned 18. She wouldn't even let me play soccer in 10th grade. I dreamed becoming a track star, & now I'm all obese & out of shape. Would you have punished me permanently? If not, what would be the consequence you'd give me? I'm asking this in case if I have kids, I want to know the proper way a kid should be disciplined in this situation. I also have Tourette's Syndrome & couldn't resist retaliating.

Girls, have any of you named your children after someone famous? My partner and I are due to give birth in January 2008 and we are stumped for boys names. We are both quite big Iron Maiden fans and my other half likes the name Nicko (name of the drummer) but i am worried what other people would think. Honest opinions please x

My daughter will be 2 1/2 when the delivery of our second one will arrive. Has anyone ever had their other child at this age in the room while delivering? She is very attached to mommy and daddy and always wants to go to my doctor's appointments with me. How has the experience been for other people that have let their other child in the delivery room??

ok well im 29 weeks and 3 days ago i was haveing a normal cramp pain right under my hip bone on the left side iv had that pain every once in awile through out my entyre pregnancy the docter said it was fine.. but out of no were i got this real sharp pain tha felt like my inside was being riped open .. it hurt so bad i screamed the hole time it lasted bout 40 seconds then stoped then 3 min later it happend agian this reacured bout 4 times....there was no blood and baby is still moving just fine what could have it been i mean it hurt so bad that i would rather get shot then feel it agian

I am a good 30yo (drug-free, mentally stable, great job, in good shape) but my parents keep sabotaging my life. They ring up/head up my workplace and resign my job without my acknowledgement. They call my friends up to mess up my life. They even push my buttons and tell me to KILL MYSELF.

How long did it take your baby to develop to sitting up unsupported once he/she could sit up supported?

By sitting up supported I mean just some cushions etc round the legs to prevent toppling, but sitting upright without the back supported at all.

I have an 11 month old baby and I don't want him to have an sleep over with my inlaws because I'm kind'a worry that they might not understand his needs because his too young, and I'm missing him cause it's my first time to be away from him. i can't even go with him because of some reason. So i let him go there 'cause i don't want them to think that I'm being selfish although it's really hard for me. He'll be gone for three days...

I a 24 year old student almost finished with my bachelor's degree and my husband and I are considering have a child. What expenses are normally associated with infants and babies? What is the average cost of diapers, formula, and other baby needs? I just need some realistic advise on having children. Is it smarter to have them while you are young? Or wait until you are older? This will be our first child so we are really nervous.

im only two days away from my due date and all day yesterday and still up until this morning i have been having painful contractions!! its driving me crazy! i always end up with these timable contractions but then they dont add up to anything. yesterday and today they're more painful then before though. some of them i can walk and talk through and others i cant. i have been 3 cms and 75% thinned out for a lil over 3 wks now! i go into the doc today and im gonna beg her to do something about this cause i dont know how much more i can take!!
my question is for anyone who dealt with this same kinda problem. did u have contractions that would come and go?? how long did it take to actually go into labor?? do u think this is the very early stages that just need a "jump start"? what was your expierence with early labor?? anything like this??
