How long did it take your baby to develop to sitting up unsupported once he/she could sit up supported?

By sitting up supported I mean just some cushions etc round the legs to prevent toppling, but sitting upright without the back supported at all.

Thanks

some infants can sit down formerly than others, yet 11 weeks could be a stretch! My son sat at 3 months unsupported, and that appeared so unusual, becuase he replaced into so tiny. I coulnt image an 11 week previous sitting, besides the shown fact that i think it could desire to ensue.

It varies a lot, but roughly 4 to six weeks. According to the Denver Developmental Screening Tests, one out of four infants was sitting without support at six months of age, and three out of four were sitting without support at seven months of age.

Really not long. I would say a week or so. It was so quick! I practiced him for a week on a padded mat with pillows all around. I would let him fall just so he would know what it's like (without the bang of course) and he learned to use his balance that way.

My daughter was 5 months old when she could do that. It's usually around the 6 month mark.

Then you can play 'Baby Left, Baby Right' like they used to do on TFI Friday!

It took my baby girl almost 4 months to sit supported, and almost 6 for unsupported sitting.

Unless your baby is far behind schedule, i wouldn't compare him/her to other babies. They are all different.
