Thats very normal. All the kids do that at some or the other stage. My 13 month old son also screams when he is playing and is excited.

Oh yeah - my daughter is 8 months old and she's been a screamer since she was about 6 months old. We think it's hilarious most of the time and laugh at her - which is why I'm sure - she keeps doing it!

She is just discovering her voice. My niece does the same thing, makes you turn and look.If you can tell that it's not out of pain than ignore it.If you pay too much attention to it she will start doing it for attention.Possibly in a place where she is supposed to be quiet(like church if you go).So just let her but don't go running every time.

not only do they like hearing their own voices, they love the reaction they get from you ,they finally have something that gets your attention every time. don't make such a big deal of it, and she'll get over it pretty quick. if she doesn't, don't worry, just redirect her energy.
