Having a name that is popular is annoying, trust me i know...i liked the name jayden but everyone started using that name so im trying to come up with alternatives...I definetly like "different" names...jason is boring

Having the y in there makes it so he could go by Jay if he wanted so basically thats the whole point...I dont care about the whole Cain thing and if I did then I obviously wouldn't pick it, Kane is irish and I'm irish but anyways to anyone who cares I'm going with Jayson Kaine

Jayson Kaine would be my favorite combination.

Jayson with the 'o' looks more masculine in my eyes. the other two look a little bit like a girls name. so does kayne with a 'y'.

Otherwise I really like the name a lot!! just adjust the spelling

Your "Kaine/Kayne" is derived, unless it is an actual family last name from Germany, from the name of the murderous son of Adam and Eve, Cain.

People hear Cain and they can't tell how you spell it. They will just forever reference Cain in their heads. That's a lot of cultural baggage to hang over the head of a baby!

Jason is spelled JASON for a boy. All the other spellings look like a femininization.

If you have a Jace in the family, steer away from such a similar-sounding name. Choosing Jason makes it look like you are still in love with the name Jace and wanted another Jace. That could turn into an identity issue for your Jason.

I like Jaycen Kaine the best.

But no matter how you spell it....his name is still pronounced Jason. Have you thought of any other unusual names?

I also like:

Bishop
Mathis
Lawson
Roman
Reed
Aston
Jameson
Radley
Tucker

How about:

Jameson Kaine
Radley Bishop
Aston Kaine
Lawson Reed
Roman Kaine

Hope this helps = )

If you think Jason is boring, why are you using it?! Misspelling a popular name doesn't make it any less popular. It just makes it misspelled, and forces your child to deal with the further hassle of having to spell and pronounce his very-common name on a daily basis.

And if it's Jadon you originally liked -- again, this is the correct spelling -- but felt it was being overused, how is Jason any different? The most common spellings of each are only five spots apart on the SSA list, at 50 and 55! I assure you, Jason is no less common! In fact, you've tapped into one of the biggest letter trends out there at the moment! J names are the next annoying blur of hard-to-distinguish, commonly-given names, just like the random often-rhyming K-names trend! Jacob, Joshua, Joseph, James, John, Jonathan, Jack, Jackson, Justin, Jordan, Jayden, Jason ... all are in or just around the top 50 MOST POPULAR names for boys (and the girls are just as bad).

If you're looking for something unique, try using a name that's actually unique.

If Jason is boring, so is Jaysen and Jaycen. Spelling it "uniquely" does not make is new or exciting, it makes it misspelled.

Jayson, Jaysen, Jason...it's the same name regardless of how you spell it so I don't understand that concept that it's a boring name.
