Pregnancy & Parenting - 17 June 2007

My girlfriend got pregnant...i use to buy her pills every month...i told her i rather buy her her pills instead of her coming out pregnant...well one she said she wasnt gonna take the pills anymore cause her head hurted...i told her watch when u come out pregnant u'r gonna have headache for life! I would almost bug her and beg her to keep taking her pills...i was the one sending her text messages so she wouldnt forget to take the pills! Well guess what happened.....she came out pregnant! I would tell her that if she came out pregnant that everything was gonna change between me and her.....alot! Well little by little i started changing and little by little distancing from her! Alot of things started happening...more with the inlaws then anybody else! I help her out....i buy everything for my little boy...everything!! My question is....does anybody think i did wrong...or acted wrong? I know it was both our responsibility before she came out pregnant...but i still think it was still her

this is just a question to help other people who are pregnant. what ways have you come up with to buy baby items when money is a bit tight?

mine is: look on ebay for clothes. i spent about $100 & got over 30 brand new jumpsuits & outfits that still had the tags!!

just thought it would be nice to help people out a bit :D

alright, well my boyfriend and i had sex on June 2nd. we used protection (condom) while we had sex and i'm positive it didn't break or anything. The question is if i didn't get my period in May and had sex (once) in June, is there any chance i could be pregnant? i still haven't gotten my period yet this month so should i take a home pregnancy test? and i thought i should add that i am also involved with sports

Hello all, well I got off of the pill March of this year, my period was a few days off, not exactaly 28 days but the first month was I believe 25 and the next was 27, I am now at day 30 and still nothing... how long should I wait to take a HPT... about a week?

This summer don't go outside without a wide brim hat, uv blocking sunscreen, and 1 oz. of sunscreen applied ALL over your body. Also use UV sensing stickers to show you when it is time to reapply your sunscreen.
Looking for a tan? Make sure you do not tan outside or in a tanning bed, which is even worse. Use a self-tanner for a healthy glow that isn't dangerous.
Are you at risk? If you answer yes to any of these questions, see a dermatologist stat
Have you had 5 or more sunburns?
Do you have more than 30 moles?
Has a family member had skin cancer?
Are you taking birth control pills?
Is your immune system weakened?
Here's some tips to prevent skin cancer:
Don't spend alot of time in the sun between 10am and 4pm
Dont forget sunscreen on your hairline neck and ears

for fooling around and other semi-inappropriate things. What can I do? even I can't keep up with him and I am 16 and have lots of energy. I have never gone out with anyone with an appetite like that. We had a family day since it was Father's day today so I told him, no nothing today, but now he says he wants more tomorrow to make up for it. I have work tomorrow and I am tired afterwards. My daughter loves her bottle and in the last month it has gotten to the point where she doesn't want to eat food, she screams for her ba- ba. I have tried cutting her back to 2 bottles a day to try and slowly get her to stop, and she's having none of it. I sit her down to eat and she just plays and then expects a bottle. She does drink from a sippy and has for the past 5 months but now has no interest in them. She also decided at 9 months old she no longer wanted breastfed so we went to bottles, so I don't know why she loves her bottle so much. How could she become so attached in 3 months? I just can't figure her out. My boys were never this difficult so I'm clueless on what to do. I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

It's pronounced like Vuh- Jeenah but it is spelled Vagina.

It is at this point absolutely impossible for my partner and i to have sex in order to try and induce labor. Will it work the same way if he ejaculates in his hand and manually places the semen on my cervix, of course if it works at all.

Why do people think it's funny to call pregnant women fat? I've had a couple people say I'm "fat" and then laugh as if it was some wonderful act of comedy. In reality, I was thin before I became pregnant, and now I'm at 37 weeks and have a HUGE belly, but the rest of me isn't really any different from how it's always been. Is it that people really can't separate "fat" from "normal, but carrying around a fully developed baby", or does it make people feel better to say hateful things like that? If anyone ever said something like that to a non-pregnant woman, they wouldn't have time to laugh before they were clocked in the head with a brick, so why is it OK if the woman has a baby belly? Sorry this is so long, I'm just so upset about it right now. And please don't send me evil answers...please remain mature in your responses. Thank you.

Ok, My son may need to be fitted with a moulding band on his head because he has plagiocephaly (one side of his head is flat). The bands are £2000 and I dont have that kind of cash readily available, and the NHS doesnt fund the treatment as they see it as a cosmetic issue! What would you do if you were in my position, get a loan (bearing in mind I dont work) or fight with the NHS to fund the treatment? NHS have been known to pay for treatment for a few children but it all depends on the circumstances...... For the band to work it should really be fitted before 7 months of age, my son is 5 and a half months now.

Would appreciate any SERIOUS comments on this please.
