During ovulation, sometimes a woman will release more than one egg. If more than one egg is released, then yes she could end up having twins with seperate fathers if she has intercourse with two men during the time the eggs are viable for fertilization.
An egg is only viable for approximately 24 hours, but sperm can live for several days in the human body. So, she could have intercourse with the two men several days apart and still get impregnated by both.
It has happened, and while it is uncommon I believe it is only uncommon because of the timing having to be just right-not because it is such a medical marvel.
These twins would be fraternal twins. Fraternal twins are the result of two eggs being released and fertilized by two seperate sperm (usually the same father, though). Identical twins are the result of one egg being released and being fertilized by one sperm, and then the egg divides into two.
There is another rarer case, where one egg is released and then splits before fertilization. Two seperate sperm then fertilize the divided portions of the eggs. These are called "half identical" twins, or I have also heard of them being called bi-polar twins. I have heard, but am not sure of the reliability, that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are such twins.

Yes. If she ovulates and releases two eggs in the same months and also is exposed to sperm from two men, she can get pregnant with twins, one fathered by each man. There is no physical problem related to carrying pregnancies fathered by different men. These, as you say, would have to be fraternal twins, since identical twins are always from the same egg and sperm.
When a woman has twins with two different fathers, it is called heteropaternal superfecundation - and may not be quite as rare as once thought.
Hope this helps.

i think of I heard of this happening whilst i develop into gazing divorce court docket on television. the female had fraternal twins yet that they had distinctive fathers. Its quite uncommon. a million in 12 gadgets of fraternal twins have distinctive fathers (the best term for this is bi-paternal, meaning 2 fathers). yet fraternal twins make up 2% of the worlds inhabitants. And intercourse does not might desire to ensue minutes aside for this to ensue. all of it has to do with ovulation, the quantity of time it takes for each mans sperm to realize the egg, stuff like that. Like, if a female had intercourse with extra suitable than one guy numerous days in the previous ovulation, the sperm will attain the fallopian tubes in the previous the eggs get there and lie in wait. as quickly as the egg arrives interior the tube, it honestly relies upon on who's the fortunate wiggle trojan horse that makes it interior the egg and fertilizes it. no remember the style you seem at it, its an exceedingly magnificent occurance.

If the woman released two eggs, yes.
She could technically have two sets of identical twins that didn't have the same DNA, if each egg was fertilized by the two separate men, and each divided into two babies.
Would be quite the medical case though!

Yes, fraternal twins are the result of 2 different eggs being fertilized. If you have sex with 2 different men within a few days of ovulation you can have fraternal twins with different fathers. I work with babies and worked with twins who this happened too, and the fathers were different ethnicities so it was obvious.

The only way it could happen would be if both eggs were fertilized at the exact same moment. As soon as an egg is fertilized, it releases, I believe it's a hormone that will not allow your body to release any more eggs to be fertilzed. Plus, most women only release one egg a month, therefore only one chance for a baby.

Oh.....wow....um, well... yes, I suppose. It's very uncommon, but I suppose it could happen. The woman would had to have had sex with those two men almost immediately one after the other.
