mine is: look on ebay for clothes. i spent about $100 & got over 30 brand new jumpsuits & outfits that still had the tags!!

just thought it would be nice to help people out a bit :D

This is going to sound a little cheap but, I love eBay to sell clothes and other items, but garage sales are the way to go!! My husband laughs at me on how much I am a bargain shopper! Two weeks ago I went to garage sales for about 2 hours and I took $30 with me. I came back with ALL name brand items for my child and me..I had 7 shirts for me (short sleeves and long), I had four outfits for her, a fisher price toy rabbit house with all of the pieces, a giant tub of large Lego blocks with the wagon also filled with blocks, two strawberry shortcake DVDs....and the list goes on! I would say to you GARAGE SALE now and eBay later!!! That is the way to make some money too!!

I live in Australia, and I've found that most Target stores have clearance racks where they mark down baby clothes to about $2. It's usually last season or things that were part of a set that have been split up. Best and Less here also have jumpsuits for about $4 or $5, plus they have storewide sales every few months.

I just started buying steadily from when i first found out i was pregnant. Allot of people wait till the baby shower but i do not recommend that unless you have yours VERY early. If you have a late baby shower and you don't get everything you need that doesn't leave you much time at all to buy it. So start getting it early and make a registry of what's left when it is baby shower time. OOoo and eBay is wonderful i got a 300 dollar nursery set for 60!

That's a good hint.... Another is most communities sponser a clothing drive/sale and you can get tons of gently used items... We got a jogging stroller for $10 and a year's worth of clothes for under $100.... Also, trade clothes with other mommy's... Instead of buying new on stroller/swings etc... try and ask other people who's children have out grown their stuff if you can borrow theirs or buy it.. Also, join a wholesale club for diapers you can save a lot of money... Look for used baby items at resale shops just be sure that the item meets safety guidelines...However, buy new on infant/baby/toddler carseats unless you completely trust the handme down....Good luck everyone

My sister, God bless her, does so much shopping at second hand stores and places like the Salvation Army stores. It just amazes me the deals she gets on stuff that still has tags on it as well. I`ll give her 20 bucks to grab stuff for our kids and she`ll bring back a bag of stuff. I`d recommend it to anyone on any sort of a budget.

If you know people who have had babies recently, you may ask them to sell you things they don't use anymore. I did this and ended up with some really nice things for a great price. Also, thrift shops are great places to pick up clothes for a small price.
