If they are grabbing at you or throwing a tantrum or telling you to get something for them that is two feet from them? I have and feel terrrible. I will say stop crying in her face and I have done it a few times and said shut up before.but now i just ignor her and ask her calmy after 2 minutes if she wants me to hold her to stop crying. most of the time it takes three cycles(6-8 min) to finally calm down. I have never ever threatened, just gotton mad at the screaming. I am trying now to be very patient. I just feel bad for those times I did yell. have you gone through this? I am asking because the correct way is what I have been doing(ignoring) and has been working.tantrums are 5-10 % of the day, laughing and hugging, playing are 90%.

Ok, so me and my bf of 7 years just broke up about 2 weeks ago. We was moving out of state but he moved first with his dad because of a job and I didn't want to transfer Dr.s because I was already comfortable with the ones I have. We got together young. We are now 22 and 23. Got engaged before the baby...Now, he left and I'm here alone to bear all this weight. I want my baby to have a mom and dad and I brought the issue of adoption up and he flipped out. We both came from broken homes. I had to watch my mom struggle with me for so many years because my dad left her when she was pregnant with me. I DON'T want to give up my baby but I am trying to think of what is best for him. I hope that my ex will come around and we will get back together. I am just really scared of being a single mom and not sure that I will be able to provide for a child like I would be able to do if he would have a mother and a father. I hated not having a dad in my life. He says that he will be in our sons' life.

do you think it is ok to just have one kid? I had a baby boy 6 months ago and I dont want anymore is that mean of me and its not just me that feels that way its my hubby too but every body we tell that gets mad at us and tells us you cant have just one kid. I think his mother hates me now because of this and it makes me so mad and my mom didnt like it at first but she is ok with it now. the reason I dont want another child is not because I think parenting is hard it has nothing to do with that I just dont think I can go through that again I had so many problems with my blood pressure during pregnancy and still have them now so what I am asking is do you think a kid grows up fine being the only child because my hubbys mom doesnt think he will so now I am trying to find a way to tell her to back off and get over it but in a nicer way.

In the morning my temp is from 97.7 - 98.0 and at night my temp would be 98.2 to 98.7 last month it was not that temp it was between 97.4 average and 97.2 my lowest and my highest is 97.9

Have any of you out there had dish soap put in your mouth for cursing? When I was about 11 my older sister, whom at the time was 18, and I had a big argument. During the argument I cursed her out. She then hauled me over to the kitchen sink and grabbed the bottle of Palmolive. She put me in a headlock and forced some of that horrible stuff in my mouth. When she let go of me I ran in the bathroom and tried to rinse it out of my mouth but by adding more water it made the soap foam up more and taste worse. When my mother came home I told her right away what happened and she smiled and said "good". We all laugh about this incident now but at the time I wasn't laughing at all.

My 5 month old son doesn't really seem to have an attachment to me, Mommy. He's really sociable. On one hand, I'm glad he goes to anyone, but at the same time, I don't feel special and not needed. But I feel I should have a special bond with my son that no one else has. When I went back to work and my son started going to the babysitter, I was afraid he was going to love her more. But I don't see a difference. Isn't my baby old enough to recognize "mommy"?

I'm expecting my first baby August 22nd. My Husband and I don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet, so we picked a girls name and a boys name. Everyone likes the girls name thta we chose and I'm happy with it too (Madelyn Sharon). BUT, I love the name Beau for a boy. The middle name has to be James because it's my husbands family name, so the name would be Beau James. But it seems that very few people besides me like the name. Including my husband. The other name we have in mind is Jayson James but I had my heart set on Beau from the beginning. Should I go with Jayson because my husband and everyone else likes it?

How important do you think it is what other people think about your choices in baby names?

I just took a first response test and it came back positive! The past four days, I have been having cramp like feelings down pretty low...where normal menstrual cramps are. Has anyone else experienced this during pregnancy and if so...any ideas why this is happening?

it seems to me that 10,000 is very small compensation to go thru a pregnacy, delivery and recovery period. and to give up the baby must be very hard. maybe 120,000 would be a better fee at least a person could go to college, fund their other children for college or do something else of real value to her life
