It is important for your husband to like it too, but its not important for anyone else to like it. I learned after several kids, just to keep my mouth shut about the babys name until they are born. That way I dont have to see or listen to negative responses about it. By the way Madelyn and Beau are both great names. Madelyn was one of my choices for our girl. Good Luck with it.

LOL. Beau James is my nephews name. The James bit for his g'father.
The thing that most recommends Jayson to me is the fact that your husband likes it. If that is a good compromise then go for it. Apart from that as long as his initials don't spell out a swear word or something, don't worry what other people think. This is between you and your husband.

It doesn't really matter too much what other people think - like your parents and in-laws. However, I think that you and your husband should be in agreement on the name. If your husband really doesn't like the name Beau, maybe try and find something else you both like. Or, you could compromise and give your little one two middle names such as Jayson Beau James.

Name your baby what ever you want, it is YOUR baby. This is the exact reason I have kept the name to my upcoming baby a secret. I know I can not please every one with my choice, but it is my choice. I just hope my daughter will be happy with it and that is the only person I am concerned with. Good luck and don't worry when every one sees your beautiful baby they will no longer care what you named him or her.
Oops I should add your husband should like the name too :) Good Luck

You shouldn't worry too much about what others think, but remeber that the name you give your child may affect him/her later in life, like if you name him/her 'Jigsaw Puzzle', or something that is equally strange. You can't go wrong with traditional names.
