Pregnancy & Parenting - 28 January 2007

This is my 2nd pregnancy and i never have this symptoms before for my 1st.
I am 13 wks pregnant and my tummy does not show. Sometimes i lay down on my back just to check my baby's heartbeat.Kind of worried as all my friends and relative kept telling me that i don't look pregnant. I was overweight when i found out im pregnant so the gynae told me to cut down a lil weight( i was 65kg/1.69m tall).Currently i have lost 3kg but thank god my last check up 2wks ago shows that my baby growin fine and healthy.
Is it due to my fats on my tummy? I hate not getting seats whenever i took the bus or train because i get nausea and morning sickness easily. pls..i just to hear sumtin nice..:))

Last month I stopped taking birth control pills and switched back to condom, but because of what i thought was a little more effect from the pills we weren't extremly cautios ( we started making love without a condom then at one point stopped to put it on and then continue). Well, now my period is about a week and a half late and I am having all pregnancy symptoms, but all the tests that I made are negative. I would love to be pregnant, but this incertainty is killing me. Did anyone go trough something similar or knows someone who did? I could really use an opinion. Thank you very much!

I have a medela dbl breastpump. I usued it for the first time yesterday and only got 1 oz out of one breast and 1/2 oz out of other after about 20 min. I also woke up this morning very sore. Is there any trick I should know about? I'm very discureged!

the thing is my parents are kind of strict and well im just scared i'll get kicked out... i work not the best job ever but its a job im a shift manager at a pizza hut and my boyfriend is also working as a security and will be finishing his carrer in about 6 months so were not doing terribly bad its just im most afraid of my dad i've been trying to tell them since i found out in december but i didnt want to ruine their holidays and i really need some kind of advice... please help

i am going to be there at 7 am until 5:30 pm. and i am watching a 1 year old and a 3 year old. and at about 2:30 or 3 pm the 6 year old will come. i will be doing this 5 days a week. every other week. but i dont have to clean their house, do any laundry or nothing. so i just need to know what i should charge them. plus, i am watching them at their house and thats about 5 or 10 miles down the road. so that will be my gas to get there. please help me because they need to know soon! and im about to start babysitting in like a week or 2. thanks everyone!!!!!

Why do some mothers think being a mommy is such a competition. I personally find this appalling and think it shouldn't be happening ( although it does, sadly enough) I know someone who is in constant competition I mean putting her and her husband in debt to try to "out parent" me, thinking that being a good mommy is about the quality of things you buy for your son/daughter. This one girl I know, ( i stopped being friends with her a while ago) will only call me or message me over the internet to tell me what she bought her son and how much she spent like I really care. I have told her several times nicely that I don't care. I don't discuss my financial status with this girl or with anyone. But it seems that whatever I do she has to go a step up with it and insists on trying to run it in. This is so annoying to me and I find this type of parenting to be bad parenting, to me anyways. Her child is only 6 months old and she spent over a thousand dollars on her son for christmas......

I did some experimenting with birthcontrol over the last month and a half: after ALWAYS takin the pill late, i realized it wasnt for me. So i stopped altogether. When i stopped (17 days ago), i bled. My period should really have come yesterday though.... and it didn't. I had unprotected sex a week ago...... and i can't shake the feeling that I'm pregnant. Is it possible for me to be pregnant or am i way paranoid?

ok i'm not a complete ditz when it comes to my daughter. but i'm curious about her temperature. i used an ear thermometer on her, the only kind i have. works fine, new battery.

well i took her temperature 3 times, 5 minutes apart. and it ranged from 96.2-96.6. now normally when we take her to the doctor for a check up it's around 98.5-9. she's not acting too strange though i did notice she seems more crabby than usual. she was still kinda playing (more roling up in her blanket) and is still eating a little,but less than her normal.

she is 10 months old. i gave her a little motrin, didn't know what else to do. she's in a one piece footed fleece jammie outfit. after about an hour her temp had only reached 96.8. i haven't taken it since because she's in bed sleeping. is her temp any reason to cause alarm? and be serious here. i didn't call her dr. because it was 7pm. didn't take her to the ER because husband said she should be fine. but i'm still worried.

i was wondering what hip pain felt like in early pregnancy if you're preggers. i am on day 25 of my cycle and expecting AF in about 3 days (hope she doesnt come!), but i was experiencing a bruising sensation when i pressed around my left hip bone. am i just wishful thinking?

i also have breast tenderness, but this seems to dissapear with the heat of the shower, and is normal for me anyhow. thanks so much!

she won't take normal milk or anything she will drink fruitboxes(poppers) and out of a sippy cup but when she want the breast she demands it sometimes i can stop her but she won't stop completly the reason i want to stop breastfeeding is i have been sick and i can't take tablets to fix me because i am breastfeeding.

My daughter is 7 weeks old and she has her first cold. She has been congested the past few days and she just gets so misrable sometimes. She was especially bad tonight. Her doctor had to reschedule her 6 week appointment until Feb. 5 so she hasn't seen her since she was 2 weeks old. Mainly, Natalie (my daughter) has just a stuffy nose and congestion. Since this is her first cold, should I call the doc or should I wait till next Monday since she doesn't have a fever or anything? I really don't know what to do. I have been using the humidifier, saline drops, the nasal aspirator, and giving lots of hugs and kisses. I just hate the thought of having to drag her out into all of this snow tomarrow morning when I go to work. It is only 7 degrees right now!

She sleeps with me at night, nurses & sleeps...she will stay content dozing and nursing every 3 -4 hrs as long as Im beside her.. If I get out of the bed she wakes up and cries.
During the day its worse..she MUST be held. Cries even in the swing.

She seems to nurse for comfort...doesnt really drink...just likes to be 'latched on'...after a few minutes she usualy dozes off......but if I put her down to go eat, bath, wash dishes..anything SHE CRIES.....I pick her up she stops crying....after a little while she starts grunting and looking for the breast..I try to nurse her again...she falls asleep...and we start all over again...ect ect ect

Help..she used to take a soother...no more...she used to like the swing..no more..HELP I have no family or friends and am all alone...I cant hold her all the time...and I think shes too young to let cry it out

Any suggestions?...Im even considering putting her on the bottle because this 'nursing on demand' thing is getting out of hand

I got pregnant and my boyfriend left and wanted nothing to do with it. I prepared to take care of the baby on my own,stayed in school and got another job. I started dating someone I had been friends with for a long time. We weren't serious, but we were exclusive, and sexually active (always safe.) My baby's father came around and decided he wanted to be a part of the baby's life. We agreed to have an open honest friendship in the interest of creating the best relationship we could to allow us to be the best parents we could be. He asked if I had had sex with the man I was dating, and I gave him the honest answer. He FLEW off the handle, SCREAMED at me for what seemed like hours, and called me obsessively for the rest of the night. Since then I haven't spoken to him in 5 months. I don't feel like I did anything wrong. I mean, I probably should have had the foresight to just focus on the baby (and that's what I'm doing now) but I was in no way obligated to him. Can someone clue me in?
