It's okay. Sometimes people show late. I have not gained an ounce of weight. I am 13 weeks and 1 day pregnant and have yet to show pregnant. I'm a little surprised the docs told you to lose weight though. I lost 10 pounds and my doctors frowned at me and asked if I was trying to lose weight. I told them no, I eat my regular diet and excercise like I normally would. I never got morning sickness, I was just losing weight. I am a big woman as well but live a very healthy, very active lifestyle. My doctors diagnosed me with hyperthyroidism. It was why I wasn't losing weight. Also, sometimes your body just naturally loses weight and you may only notice a little pouch. You might just ask someone and say your pregnant. As long as you live an active healthy lifestyle everything will be fine. Since I've lost that weight I have not gained anything back. Our baby is healthy and active as well. I hope people would be considerate but you might have to just tell them. Also woman vary so you may not show and sometimes you may not show as early with your second, or you may show earlier than that.

I know exactly what you're going trough! I was having a bad case of morning sickness on my way to work and no one in the bus gave a damn because i didn't look pregnant at all. And because of the same reason. I was a bit overweight and I had a little fat on my tummy before i got pregnant. My belly didn't start to show until my 17-th or 18-th week, and even then you could barely see it. But even though, I got a strong healthy baby. Good luck with you pregnancy ;)

Some women have morning/afternoon/evening sickness, but some don't. Some women don't have any signs at all. When i was 13wks pregnant i was sick everyday if i woke up before 8am. I suggest that you go get a pregnancy test for her, if you don't have very much money, scrounge up some change and go to the dollar store, the dollar store pregnancy tests work just as well as the expensive ones, they just arent as fancy.

At 13 weeks the baby is still quite small. The uterus only starts popping out of the pelvis at 12 weeks so at 13 weeks its unlikely you would look noticably pregnant. I have a friend who is also 13 weeks and her tummy is just starting to come out but I said to her that by 16 weeks she would have a noticable bump because she is so thin! Dont worry it wont be long till you have a lovely baby bump!

well with my first I showed at 12 weeks BAD!!!! this time I am 21 weeks and have not showed yet.. every time it is different so do not worry about it.... fyi: you could always wear some tighter shirts, and then when you get on the bus, push your belly way out as far as you can comfortably, and put your hand on the top of it like the baby is kicking you.. then maybe someone will notice and offer you a seat... lol :) Don't worry about the fats on your tummy, eventually you will have a huge round prego belly.. :)

Due to your previous overweight condition, your muscle structure has stretched somewhat and your pregnancy is not 'pushing our nearly as much as it would in a primary pregnancy to cause the chamber to expand. In other words there is plenty of room to go at present. Perhaps by the time you are 28 weeks you will suddenly bloom outwards very quickly. Don't be panicked at this point if the foetal heart beat is steady and regular then assume all is well and consider yourself lucky that for a little while yet your clothe are going to fit.

I'm pregnant with my third and didn't start really showing until I was 21 weeks. With my first I was probably 16 or so. I showed early with my second. 13 weeks seems a bit early to be showing. But all women and all pregnancies are different. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

13 weeks is a little early to be really showing. I didn't start showing until about 20 weeks. At any rate, how much you're showing has very little to do with how healthy your baby is. I've known very overweight and very underweight women who didn't look pregnant at all. Just trust your doctor, they've done this before.

well, depending on ur original weight. The more u started off with the later u may show and the lighter u started off with the sooner u may show. Don't worry about ur pregnany showing or not. Main thing is if ur baby is healthy. When I was around 5 mnths, I hated when people would tell me I looked too small. It made me feel like I wasn't eating enough or not doing enough. Now I'm almost ready to give birth and everyone says how HUGE I am. I'm sure you're fine. Congratulations and good luck on your pregnancy!

Of course it doesn't show at 13 weeks, your baby is still really tiny. Around 20 weeks is normal and then it'll grow very fast. I had a badge saying I'm not fat I'm pregnant when I had my second one. Try that to get seats on the bus.
Congratulations on the baby and the weight loss.
