I am married with a 7 month old and my 16 yr. old cousin is 4 1/2 mos. pregnant and is scheduled for an abortion in 1 1/2 weeks. My sister (17 yrs. old) and I are trying to convince her not to do it and if this works I would like to keep that baby. Would that still make my husband and I go trought the costly adoption process or does she just have to sign papers and give my husband and I custody of that baby? This will all take place in the state of Texas. Thank you in advance.

Me and my first boyfriend tried for years to have a baby, but it never happened. Then I got with my kids father and ended up being pregnant after being with him for only a month. Then when my son was 3 months old I was pregnant with my daughter. Now my daughters almost six. I want to have another baby, yet after trying for a few years now nothings happening. Whats the problem?

My lmp was on the 1st of november, Im sure of it. The last two visits to the doctor my due date has been bumped up from the 8th and then to the 4th. Which now makes me 13weeks pregnant. Is this normal if I am dead certain about my last period? And also I have a appointment on the 31st, what can I expect at this appointment? Will I be able to find out what the baby is? And also at my last visit the baby's heartbeat was at 162 is that a little fast because when I watch babies bein delivered their heart rates be about 140 or so.....so should I be worried?

I am four months pregnant, and go back to the doctor on Feb.6. At my last doctors appointment he told me that I havent gained any weight so far, but my stomach was growing so the baby was gaining all the weight. I was advised to only gain about 20 pounds during my whole pregnancy because with my first pregnany I gained ALOT of weight and I was already a little over weight at the beginning of this pregnancy. I weighed myself at my mothers house and it looks like I have gained 3-5 pounds since January 9. Is this bad considering this is the only weight I have gained so far?!? How to I keep my weight from sky rocketing like it did with my first son?

tears she would check for a hundred times after that if i'm still sad, she would tell my hubby when he returns from work mumma didn't eat n was sad, its actually surprising to see sucha young kid understand so much. my problem is i have this friend who has same age girl they keep coming to our place and my daughter shares her toys gives her kid almost everything, but when we go to their house her kid never shares anything infact my daughter doesn't even asks her for toys she would just come and whisper in my ears "mumma can i play with some toys" even if we are at their home for the whole day she wouldn't touch her toys without asking her and if that girl refuses she will never touch it, this makes me feel sad so i told my friend and she shrugged her shoulders saying yes my daughter doesn't share what can i do about it, also that they keep telling me my daughter is ugly n stuff like that but what mother can stand that, do you guys think my daughter understands all of these things too

I will water down regular (Motts, etc) apple juice when giving it to my 6 month old, but does Gerber need to be also? I would think baby juice would have lower acidity but did not want to risk my baby getting diarreah. Thanks.

I'd like something fun, and something that is easy for her to imitate. Keep in mind, she's 2. Preferably with kids, and something that I can do with her as well. She loves all the Sesame Street Videos and has all their "get up and dance" style DVDS.

This would be on a regular basis about 3 nights (schedule changes as to which nights) per week from 8pm-7am while the parent works.

but it didn't post until 40 min. later...lame

I had to move recently and switch doctors. With my first dr., they did the pee in the cup test every visit and were very thorough in the check ups. When I moved, everyone recommended the same dr. for me to go to. He doesn't seem as thorough and all he does at the appointments is ask how I've been feeling and check on ultrasound. I have gone twice and both times he did the same exact thing...tell me my due date and that I'm having a girl...Is this normal? I'm nearly 32 weeks and my next appt. is coming up and I don't know what to do.

How many of you call your child a bad boy or girl when they do something wrong? Why? I always tell my kids that you are a good girl/boy but you made a bad choice. Don't you think if you tell your kids they are bad they will start to believe this. Kids are not bad they are just kids and make wrong choices. Agree? disagree?

I am almost 5 1/2 months pregnant, and when my husband and i try to be intimate, we end up having to stop because it would dry up and hurt alot. My midwife said to try a personal lubricate to see if that will help, and we have had the warming kind, but i read that it can irritate and stuff, and because one time my cervix got hurt, im afraid it will irritate it.. So is just a plain K-Y jelly form safe to use, like it says on the bottles?? Any other recommendations? thanks!

In my area there are a lot of unwed parents having babies. In the paper they publish new baby's names and they almost always have the dad's last name. Why do women not seem to understand that if he didn't marry (or at least set a date) the moment the second line appeared on the pregnancy test, that he probably won't (that's just statistics)? Since the mother's still generally end up with custody, it would be so much easier to share the same last name with their child(ren). Imagine, every time the teacher calls you from school, they will assume you have the same last name. When you make doctors appointments or pick up prescriptions you will have to explain your relationship. At most they should hyphenate both last names together. Why are all these unwed mothers still giving their child(ren) the dad's last name?

After the egg enters the fallpian tube how long does it stay there (before going into the uterus) if it is fertilized? and if its not fertilized? also, if its not fertilized, does it go down into the uterus and break down right away or does it go into the uterus and stay there until the day you get your period, then it breaks down??
