You raised the babys blood sugar but also if you are further along and your stomach is compressed by the baby, when you eat it gets bigger and then the baby fights you for some room in there..LOL

Because your body breaks down the food into sugar! Baby gets a little rush. I get kicked the whole time I am eating so I dont know what it feels like to be able to eat and then feel the baby move later!

Because your child is getting some food and so she/he is always going to be hyper after eating/drinking anything with caffeine... and so on. They usually tell mothers to be if they don't feel the baby kick for awhile to drink or eat something sweet so the baby will get moving.

An hour or so after you eat, there is a rush of nutrients, not to mention new tastes to the placenta and baby likes it! It gets the baby energized and happy. :-) This is also true if you drink or eat sweet stuff and/or cold stuff.

That's completely normal. I'm not sure the scientific reasoning behind it, but it's nothing to worry about. I believe the baby is just reacting to the food that is seeping into his amniotic fluid. Since I munch constantly, my baby seems to be moving all the time! It's a great feeling though, and keeps my worries about him away!

Because they can taste what you eat. Especially foods with sugars in them. It excites them and it encourages taste bud development.

Of course you do! Digestion is a noisy process, and your baby has a front-row seat!
