Pregnancy & Parenting - 18 January 2007

My 9 month old has lost interest in solid feeding. He used to have more solids and less milk when he was 7 mo. After 7 mo. he started teething and then he was sick for about 2 weeks. Now he seems fine - but still doesn't want solids. I'm clueless what's happening?

My son is potty trained, well almost. He peepees just fine, but we have a horrible time getting him to poop on the potty. He brings us a diaper and goes and then freaks out to have the poop on him. Sounds like he is ready to go on potty to me, but he just wont!! He crys and even fell asleep today. Can anyone give me tips that worked for you a similar situation?? Im at my witts end!

My daughter is almost 8 months and she doesnt even attempt to crawl when i put her on her tummy. Should I worry? From what I understand some babies never crawl. So how old was your baby when they crawled and took their first steps?

my daughter is 3 months old and i am letting her cry it out at night time and naps (just started a day ago) its a little scary cause she cries a lot but as soon as i pick her up she stops. Can babies go into shock or are there any health risks to letting her cry it out

I am almost due i scrubbed my hands VERY well trimmed my nails and checked my cervix I felt the top of my baby boys head but i think only 2 fingers could have fit in fairly snug does this mean labor is close?

My case for medicaid (pregnant) just got opened and they said i can use it now,well i dont have my card yet,they say not for 3-5 weeks..Will most doctors take my medicaid number for billing without my card? And,Do most doctors accept medicaid or only very few? Thank you

Hello. I am one week late fresh off of BC. No signs of period. i had a funny taste in my mouth all day today...tasted like soap. tests were negative tweice last week....should I see a doctor? is this normal? will HCG show in blood and not in urine sometimes? I am 31 weeks pregnant and i made the less than good choice to fly to Romania.Just for the record it was a great opportunity job wise.I have had a perfectly healthy pregnancy up till this point . I had my doctor write me a note as well so i had no problems flying there and the airline seemed more concered with checking my bags than my pregnancy.Problem is i passed out at work and was taken to a hospital and put on bed rest.I have apparently started dialating and was told i cant leave Romania.I am currently in the city of Iasi in a hotel.I was told if i fly it would be dangerous and i could go into labor?Now they say my blood pressure is getting rather high and they think i should rest 4-6 weeks after the baby comes before flying any where!I feel fine though?

Obviously you can't pick and choose the sex but I have read in parenting magazines that certain positions and foods increase your chances. Is this true or just something to get someones hopes up?! We will be happy either way but we already have a girl and would like a boy this time around :)!

First, I can get a lawyer to help me fight this expulsion and ticket for tresspassing that I received at school, right? I really just want the expulsion dropped because I DO NOT want to go to behavior school, what I did was wrong, but I have to admit, it was nothing to what some of these kids do in school and they only get inhouse suspension.. I didn't cuss, I didn't hit, I didn't threaten, all I said was "So are you and Ms.Es [girl dean] dating? How long yall been dating for?" and before I said that, he was already so angry [they were trying to suspend me and when I questioned why, he just said 'get off my property or Im gonna have you arrested', I honestly thought he was gonna hit me, and after I said that, I thought he was gonna kill me! He was fuming.. and yeah, this is why I got expelled.. can I get a lawyer or attorney or somebody to help me fight this expulsion? I think this is bull. Also, do I have to go to behavior school if my mom says she doesn't want me going?? 10 points.

My son, who is turning 4 on January 31st, get's very cranky if he doesn't go to sleep on time. He doesn't take a nap, becuase it causes him to stay up late. He's been staying awake until 9:30 or so and is very cranky throughout the day if he doesn't go to sleep early. Any suggestions on getting him to actually sleep at 8:00 would be greatly appreciated.
