I am completely pro-life. I believe a child is a child from the moment of conception and that "terminating a pregnancy" is terminating a life, so no, I don't believe abortion is a viable option.

I am very pro-life. I understand why some people might feel differently- because not everyone agrees on when "life" actually begins. I have always been pro-life, but became even more convinced while I was pregnant (very much unplanned) with my daughter. I had an ultrasound at 5 weeks (counting from LMP) and could see the little heartbeat. You can't even know you're pregnant until 4 weeks, so the earliest arbortions are around 5 weeks, when the heart is already beating. Her father used to be very pro-choice, using the argument that it's not a life yet, but changed his mind after he saw the early ultrasounds of my daughter, where he could obviously see something with a heartbeat wiggling around. Especially now, after seeing how that little wiggly thing with a heartbeat became our gorgeous 2 1/2 yr old daughter, neither of us could ever consider abortion as an option.
I realize an unwanted pregnancy is a huge intrusion on a woman's body and a major life changing experience, but I still believe continuing the pregnancy is the right thing to do, as unfair as it may feel. You don't have to raise the child and can put it up for adoption, because there are so many people wanting to adopt babies. In my opinion, not wanting a baby is just not justification for ending a life.

anyone who believes abortion should be outlawed except in cases of rape are idiots. All this will do is cause dumb women who make stupid choises to cry rape as a scapegoat for a ridicolous choice they cant take back.
Abortion should not only be 100% legal, but any women who feels she needs abortion should be required by law to have premission of the father to do so. It should be the "parents" right to choose. And if the mother doesnt want the child the father should be able to take custody and collect child support if he chooses.

I believe that overall - its a personal decision. Although, the view of the mother and father should both be considered.
And, there are times when a doctor's opinion may need to be introduced; when the mother or baby's health is at risk.
While I believe I have no place to tell someone what to do or to force my beliefs on others, - I can't help but be dissapointed by people who use abortion as birth control - having them repeatedly. I really feel as though those individuals are being reckless and irresponsible.

For the person who states that "no one can tell a woman what she does with her body"...isn't that selfish? From the time of conception, it's no longer the "woman's body". She's just CARRYING another living being. No, abortion is not an option, and being someon who has had one, I can honestly say it is a horrible decision to make. Other options such as adoption or facing up to responsibility are better.

Number one...it is virtually impossible to have an "unplanned" pregnancy. When one CHOOSES to have sex they are also CHOOSING the consequences of having sex and one of those consequences is pregnancy.
Number two, yes abortion should always be an option because it is the woman's choice whether her body is to be used as an incubator or not. (now here comes all the "no it's murder" campaginers)
Abortion is NOT murder because you can not murder what has not been born. A pregnancy, zygote, embryo, fetus is NOT a born human being and therefore can't be murdered. If a medical termination of a pregnancy is considered "murder" then so should a spontaneous terminiation of a pregnancy be considered murder

Are you a drug user? Are you going to be able to take care of your self and make sure your unborn baby has a chance for a healthy life? This is a tough choice but one only a mom can make. You know your situation. Unplanned or not a baby can be happy and a single parent can make it. You always have the option of adopting your baby out. I would not use abortion as a form of birth control.

I do think abortion should be considered when contraception fails. I mean...what were people using the contraception for in the first place? even very careful people can have a mishap. The morning after pill is a great thing, but it's not going to catch all the 'accidents'. the bottom line is - if a woman does not think she is capable/ready/or even just plain doesnt WANT to have a baby abortion is a viable option.

If rape is involved yes. But if it was unplanned and they are having unprotected sex than that's an issue all in it's own because who is to say this wont happen again? How many abortions are they going to have before they realize that a $7 pack of condoms is cheaper? The morning after pill is now available and shouldn't be used as birth control but in circumstances where it's an emergency, I don't see anything wrong with it.

that is totally a NO NO! whether its an unwanted pregnancy go through with it. just think that that's a blessing for you. anything happens for a reason. just leave everything up to the Lord. don't commit another mistake just to solve one mistake. and besides your having a life there inside yourself. a life that God gave you. abortion may also have bad effects aside from posing danger for the child it may also be dangerous for the mother. she could from it, you know. it's against the law of man and against the law of God.
