I took my sister shopping today to spend Christmas money. She wanted to buy several things I knew were a waste of money since she wouldn't play with them. I advised her to get things I knew she would play with and told her I wasn't going to let her get stuff that would sit under her bed. She shut down and got really mad. I finished my shopping and made a detour through the craft aisle that we hadn't yet visited. She ended up picking out several items I know she'll use often and enjoy.

My question is did I go about this correctly or should I have let her pick her own things even though I knew she wouldn't play with them?

I am about to be 17 and i am trying to conceive. I understand i may be too young but me and my fiance really want a baby. One of our friends is a soon-to-be-father and he always brings over his girls ultrasounds and i get a little jealous. I want a baby and i am in the condition financially,physically and mentally. What can i do to raise the possibility of me getting pregnant. I know have sex, (which we do quite often)and buy an ovulation test... but how can i buy it without getting caught by my mom?? please help me!!!

i am 20 weeks pregnant. most of friends tell me that i have to make sure deliver naturally. because i will be more thankful. but it didn't sounds make sense too me. and only dr can make a decision not a mother's choice. i was wondering that can i make a choice?

I was at a very healthy weight of 140lbs 3 years ago, got pregnant with my son and gained 65 pounds! I tried to get it off and only lost a little of it. I am oregnant again and have not gained much weight at all, but after the baby comes I want to get back to close to my original size.....I want to have the energy I used to have to play with my kids etc! ANy suggestions??????????????

He's had a tummy bug that is causing diarrhea, slight fever and bad gas for about 3 days now. I called the doctor today and he said that it is going around and if he's not better tomorrow to bring him in (which I plan on) but I forgot to ask him what I should feed him that is easy on his tummy and won't cause more gas. I can tell that he has some tummy cramps and that the gas is painful, poor little guy. I have given him tylenol for the fever and mylicon for the gas but I want to make sure that I don't feed him something that will upset his tummy further. Thanks for any advice:)

I have a friend and she just found out she is pregnant. She has only been dating this guy for 3 months and they are pretty much breaking up. It was over before she found out. Her family is religious, so she isn't telling them. But she is 25 and still lives with her parents and she does have a job. But she doesn't want the baby. She told me yesturday that she is getting an abortion.

I personally think abortion is a horrible thing. I'm not religious at all. Just my morals and values. I believe abortion is only acceptable if rape was invovled or if the mother and/or child has some sort of disease/illness.

Do you think there is a way I can talk her out of it?

I have just entered my 5th week of pregnancy. I have been having light cramping and some constipation. I asked my nurse at the docs office if this was okay, and she said that is what I should be experiencing. Well today, i finally got my blood test back, my HCG level was 1129.. on the paper it says for being 4-5 weeks it says 1000-50000... so I was worried that was low. also, tonight I had some mild stabbing pains near my left ovarie.. they only lasted like 20 seconds.. not very long at all. this is my first baby, and deathly scared of misscarriage. is this osmething that i should worry about...EEKK, i have been trying for 2 years now...

When taking a 5 week old baby's temp do you add a degree for underarm and minus a degree for rectal? How high should my baby's temp be before I worry and call the doctor? She keeps spitting up tonight, alot. Every few minutes but her rectal temp was 99.2 a few minutes ago. Is that a normal temp?

I was wondering how you got pregnant with twins and so on. Were fertility drugs a part of it? Any way to increase ones chances of having a multiple pregnancy?
