I've had both a c- and a natural birth, and I did not notice any difference in losing weight. I did have a lil tummy for awhile after the section that I think was due to poor muscle tone, but that improved with time.

I don't know if 'most' people keep the weight they gained during pregnancy. I think most ladies end up with just a few extra lbs; those I know that gained dramatically did so AFTER the baby's birth.

It all depends on you and how your body is. Everyone is different. Everyone's body is different. I would recommend a healthy, moderate diet and exercise. So many people see the word "diet" as being something bad and it doesn't have to be. It should become more of a way of life. Eat right, stay moderately active, and take care of yourself. No one can tell you anything about your weight because everyone is different. But as soon as your doctor gives you the ok, exercise. There is no miracle drug out there. There is no easy fix. And exercise can help you mentally as well~ and it gives you more energy. So skip the fast food and opt for something more nutritious...if you can't, then don't get fries- get a salad. Substitute a hamburger for chicken. If you can't get to a gym do ab work while watching tv. Use your baby as a way to exercise too- walk with him daily in the stroller. Use him as a weight and lay on your back and lift him up and down...Do lunges while you walk around the house with him. Do squats while you are doing your hair/makeup. You don't have to be super workout queen to get into better shape.
Good luck!

it was pretty easy to lose the weight after the c-section-- however it's just just the weight- most of it goes off when you give birth-- but it's more needing to tone your muscles and firm up your skin.... I ended up gaining lots and lots of weight- but that was a few months after giving birth because of post partum depression- blah.

I had 2 c-sections 2 yrs apart, I didn't have any trouble losing the weight either time. I nursed both my kids, so I didn't really diet, I just watched what I ate in the way of chocolate.
