I am 6 mo. pregnant and have a UTI. I noticed a painful itchy rash on my upper arm today. WOndering if it is related to the meds I was just put on?

Yep.
You are either allergic to the meds
OR
Certain bacteria will push it's way out of your skin instead of being filtered out by the liver and kidneys. Even a UTI bacteria can be squished out of your skin.

Eek, cephalexin is notorious for its bad side effects.
It could even indicate a drug allergy.
Stop taking the antibiotic immediately and call the dr. tomorrow. You don't want to get into a situation where you'll have to take steroids to stop the allergic reaction.

Sounds like an allergy to me. I do same thign with most NSAIDs. Best to just call the doctor and stop taking ti until you do. There should have been an insert in the package from pharmacy that will tell you this same thing.

See your doctor now. I have taken cephalexin many times and it has never done anything to me. You could be allergic or it could be something worse.

Yes, it probably is related to the antibiotics you were prescribed. My son can't take that stuff either, he broke out in a mild case of hives. Talk to your doctor!
