Take her out of her bed and cuddle with her. Ask her what her dreams were about (this will let you know if she had a nightmare) and then read a book just to reassure her that everything is okay and there isn't any reason to cry.
Also, maybe she just wants out of her bed or crib. Sometimes things like this can be hard to pin-point and you just have to test different things.

yep.. normal.. my two year old wakes up crying almost every morning.. and wakes up from almost every nap crying... Sometimes, he will wake up and just play in his room for awhile before comming out. I think it depends on his mood on any given day... it also makes a difference if it is light in his room. He has a fishtank that acts as a nightlight.. but if he wakes up in the dark, he cries more than if he wakes up and its light in his room.

For some kids this is part of their normal "sleep pattern". If there isn't anything wrong consider this simply a phase that she will outgrow

Maybe she is having nightmares, or is missing her parents when she wakes up. Just hold her and cuddle her.

i agree with the answer one she might be having bad dreams at night, missing her parents, or still needs some time to get adjusted to her new environment. just give her hugs.

Sometimes it's just a release.....It will transfer over to when she's an adult, she won't be a morning person and she'll be all grumpy!
