He's had a tummy bug that is causing diarrhea, slight fever and bad gas for about 3 days now. I called the doctor today and he said that it is going around and if he's not better tomorrow to bring him in (which I plan on) but I forgot to ask him what I should feed him that is easy on his tummy and won't cause more gas. I can tell that he has some tummy cramps and that the gas is painful, poor little guy. I have given him tylenol for the fever and mylicon for the gas but I want to make sure that I don't feed him something that will upset his tummy further. Thanks for any advice:)

Make sure he's hydrated - lots of fluids - jello and ice pops count too. =)

The BRAT diet is the best: Bananas, Rice, Applesauce (NOT juice!!) and Toast. Basically, anything starchy carbs. Potatoes, noodles, bread, crackers. Anything that would make Dr. Atkins cringe. =) Limit juice as much as possible - it can make it worse. Milk can be a little rough too. Try flat gingerale or some pedialyte.

pedialyte is great but most won't drink it. Try gerber liquilytes. Gripe water is great for gas. Don't do juice or milk it will make the diarrhea worse. My daughter just had the same thing and I did chicken soup, but I don't know if your baby is on table foods yet. I would keep it clear liquids no fruits or anything that makes your stool softer.

BRAT diet.

B- Banana's
R- Rice
A- Applesauce
T- Toast.

Liquids too. (water, Popsicles, pedilyte and pedilyte popsicles)
good luck.
For a fever of 3 day's I would take him in. Also tomorrow is friday...and before a holiday weekend. I would take him in to the DR office = rather than waiting in line at the ER.

it"s really not recommended that children drink water for gastric , if you go to chemist there is a particular fluid drink or even juice dilated as they need salts and sugars for energy as water will give them the runs and can cause dehydration

pedilyte is the best to give him right now, if hes tummy is bugging he may not want to eat much now, stay away from dairy, good luck i hope you get through it and him, a sick baby is worse then you being sick yourself

Pedialyte to keep up his hydration. Try some applesauce, some toast (if he can chew it!), and crackers.
