My nephew came home today (kindergarten mind you) saying that a kid in his class (5 years old) said that santa is NOT real and lives in our hearts but is not a real person who leaves presents. I am all for telling my child the truth but I think this is going a bit too far..what do you all think?

I have gestational diabetes and just started testing with the finger pricks today.Do I need to test 2 hours after I start eating or 2 hours after I finish eating?I forgot to ask the nurse and now the office is closed for the weekend.Please only answer if you have had it and really know-Thanks!

our baby now is on the 9th month, our doctor said that after the 20th of this month the baby will be born anytime after that. we still have to undergo one more ultra sound on the 14th to see if the baby is still in breech position and after that we will go from there. we really dont want a c section done. please help.

My longest labor with my first baby was 9 hours, with my second child 5 hours, with my third child about 5 hours still. I am always curious to hear the miracles of childbirth. I've heard some women have actually been in labor for 23 hours or for two days...Wow!

I've been breastfeeding my daughter for 6 and a half months now. In the beginning it was hard and sometimes flat out hurt. My nipples would crack and occasionally bleed, it was awful. Everyone described it as the stage where they had to get tough...after a short while they were right back to normal.....I was wondering is this something you go through for the first time you breastfeed, or is it something you go through with every child you have and breastfeed.

twenty years old and pregnant. Live with my boyfriend. I don't depend on my mom or his mom we just depend on each other. I am thinking of letting my son and his friend go together to a Panthers game this Sunday. We have season tickets. He has been really good lately, has been getting good grades, has cleaned up his back talk--all are a mighty feat for his age. His friend is a great kid. I am almost 39 weeks. I lost my mucus plug 3 days ago. I was laying in the recliner and the baby moved and it felt like I had to pee. But I held it in and went to use the restroom. Are you able to hold fluid in like urine? Was it just the baby hitting me in the bladder? How will I know if I am leaking fluid?

I am going to have a baby my due date is sunday. I told my doctors of a history of drug use in the beginning of my pregnancy and they drug test me. i passed my last drug test, and i will pass my drug test in the hospital but i was wondering if they give me pain medication and they test my baby wouldnt that show up on my babys drug test? is the hospital going to know the difference between a street drug and a pain medication they gave me? also how will they test the baby? with urine, blood or the babys frist poop?

My daughter is a week old tomorrow and I find myself agravated when i cant figure whats wrong with her. when she wakes up and dosent want to eat or spits up (alot) i feel like im doing something wrong and i cant help but cry.
I also cry when she crys and wont stop. I know i will never do anything to hurt her, i wont let myself. but what can i do. i duno if its postpardem ddepression, or regular depression (had depression way b4 prego) and i duno what to do. would anti depressants help? what do doctors do when u tell them u may have it? they wont take my baby will they?
