i live in kentucky and applied for medicad/passport a few weeks ago so i can get some prenatal care since i dont have insurance. i still havent got anything in the mail about it yet though and i'm already 11 weeks! has anyone else applied for this? if so how long did it take for you to get it?

Colorado Springs, CO - Police in Colorado Springs on Monday night were searching for a man who officers believe dropped off his girlfriend and her drunken baby at a local hospital emergency room.

Doctors at Memorial Hospital say the baby is in good condition

Police are still trying to determine what happened. They say the child's mother gave them conflicting information.

The baby's aunt told reporters the mother did not mean to feed alcohol to her two-month-old baby.

"So she went to make the baby a bottle, cause she kept crying. A pacifier wouldn't work, so she made her a bottle, and when she made the bottle, it was clear liquid. She didn't realize that it was an alcohol," says Jessica Smith, the child's aunt.

Police say they're treating the incident as a child abuse case.

OKAY SO WE HAVE A 2 YEAR OLD AND I THINK IF WE HAVE ANOTHER ONE, IT SHOULD BE WITHIN A YEAR... MY SISTER AND I WERE 4 YEARS APART, AND I THINK WE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN ALONG BETTER IF WE WERE CLOSER IN AGE..... ANYWAYS, SINCE I MENTIONED THAT TO MY HUSBAND, HE WANTS TO USE CONDOMS (IM ON BIRTH CONTROL) AND HE THINKS ILL BE SNEAKY AND "ACCIDENTLY" GET PREGNANT.. WHCH IM NOT!! Hi i am pregnant and due pretty soon i recently had some braxton hicks contractions sorry for spelling not sure if thats spelled correctly?The doctor predicted that around christmas day i would go into labor or at the latest new years day. I really dont want to give birth christmas eve or christmas day. I'm afaid if i do my child will be spoiled with double the presents when he gets older.I also really want to spend some quiet time with my family mom/dad before i give birth?or am i just being crazy?

I am really at my wits end with my almost 4-year-old!!! She started preschool in the fall, and absolutely loved it. About six weeks ago tho, she suddenly decided that she doesn't want to go. She has become such a HUGE disruption at school, crying, having temper tantrums, not participating in any activities or playing with girls that were once great playmates for her. Her whole personality seems to be changing, she is becoming withdrawn and backward. To top it all off, two weeks ago, she suddenly starting wetting her pants almost on a daily basis now!!! I took her to the dr yesterday to make sure she doesn't have a urinary tract infection, which she does not. But I am sooooo confused and horribly frustrated with her! What do I do? Could she just not be ready for preschool? Help!!!

This is not so much a question as it is a request for other parents to share their experience on the tongue tied issue.

The first time I heard of it was moments after the birth of my son. Turns out my father-in-law had one too but his was cut soon after birth. The pediatrician, the lactic aid nurse and my GP all felt that our son's tongue tie wasn't severe enough to cut despite our concern.

After 3 months of ongoing problems nursing, our GP sent us to a Toronto doctor specializing in breast feeding. It was his opinion to cut the tongue tie - no matter how slight as it may hinder speech, eating and teeth cleaning. He did the procedure on the spot with a scalpel and no anesthetic. A moment on the breast and no blood or crying.

If I knew it was so simple I would have done it sooner --- maybe I would have stood a chance with the whole nursing thing.

What has your experience been?

My sister in laws husband is 12 yrs. older than she is, so whatever his ideas r she agrees...I could care less, that is until my niece told my son that "Daddy's buy all the presents" and "There is no Santa"When I asked my SIL about it ,she acted like this was normal. "She said ,that their kids know who really brings the gifts"I kept trying to tell her that her kids would eventually know the truth, so why spoil it for them just so her husband can feel like king ****. I know I should mind my buisness, but I don't even want her family around for fear of what her kids may say to mine...All of our children r 8 an under.Please help

Hi! im 38wks, im dilated a little and lost my mucus plug. Im wondering if anyone successfully used nipple stimulation to induce labour and if so how did you do it and for how long? I tried it a little one day and did get contractions but they went away. also someone told me to take a bath as hot as i could stand it, does this work??

We've been having such a rough time financially this last half of the year that we won't be having Christmas. My son is 8 & my daughter is 4. He has been questioning the existance of a real Santa for sometime but still believes. Yes we have taught him the true meaning & he tells me all the time that Christmas is about Jesus and giving but that still won't change the fact that there will be nothing under the tree Christmas morning. How do I tell them so they won't be totally heartbroken?? How would you tell YOUR CHILD before it happened that he/she had to wake up Christmas morning to nothing??

When I got pregnant I was in a relationship with "the father". After our first ultra-sound he left me, not because theres anything wrong but because we weren't getting along. Then I had no choice but to move back in with my parents. They are all stuk on me getting a job. I haven't worked through the entire pregnancy besides babysitting the neighbors kids. Im in good health. Im the NINTH child and ALL of my brothers and sisters have kids (lots), my mom had no trouble concieving me and YET I havent concieved.... Im so extremely upset.
