You should contact your case or social worker to find out what's going on. They might have already processed your coverage, but haven't sent anything. Also, for prenatal care, you shouldn't wait until the coverage is processed. Once you were approved, they should have given you a ceritficate of coverage so you could see the doctor immediatly. Call your case/social worker ASAP to find out.

It can take up to a month to process the coverage, but prenatal cases are usually processed MUCH faster. Good Luck!

I would check with your caseworker or someone in that office. In SD I know medicaid will go back and pay for any prenatal care that you had as long as you can prove that you met the income guidelines. For instance I didn't apply for medicaid until I was 7 months ( didn't think I was eligible). Medicaid picked up the tabs for the whole prenatal care because I provided paystubs. Check.

I went to the free clinic and signed up and they said my cards would be in the mail in about 6-8 weeks, in the meantime they gave me a medicaid pending letter to take to the doctor so I could still get my prenatal care. I'm in NYC.

I am not from there, but you need to seek out a free clinic and get some prenatal care until the medicaid kicks in. These are the most improtant weeks sweetie so seek some help!

You usually get new cards in the mail by the 3rd of every month! At least that's how it is here in NC.

At this point in your pregnancy Dr's wont do much accept talking to you and maybe an ultrasound to make a positive due date. I would call the office and see whats going on!

I live in NC and with my last pregnancy I applied in october at 9-10 weeks along, and got it in live november, almost december. Just keep going to the doctor and when you get your medicad, they can update your records and pay all your doctor bills. Best of luck to you and your baby.

Call your caseworker and see what the hold up is. If you're sure that you're approved, your medicaid coverage should be retroactive to the date of the first doctor visit, so you could go ahead and go and just let the dr. office know that you are approved, just waiting for your number.

you may be able to go to Dept. of Children and Families add your county to the end and look up your case status. I did this for my step sister when she had applied in florida and it worked.
