Cut back on sugar and caffine which both will make the baby move a lot. If you haven't been taking in much or none of either, you should contact your doctor. Sometimes rapid movements can be a sign of disstress in the baby. Whenever I would drink a soda (even sprite) it would make my daughter do jumping jacks it seemed for hours! But I always noticed it after I ate or drank something high in sugar or carbs (like noodles). I never drank caffine though. Good Luck!

That is normal baby activity at this stage. It felt like my kids were doing flips all the time, at first it worried me, but the Doc told me it was fine. Its when they stop their routine, when I began to worry, if you notice a decrease in fetal movement, call you doctor. Good luck, I am 5 months pregnant and my little one is just starting to move.

The baby is an active one. Feeling strong movements at around 6 months is completely normal. I started feeling them at around that time and they haven't stopped! I can just watch my stomach and it looks like the baby is about to kick his way through! I wouldn't worry about it, looks like you just have an active baby on your hands :)

Try holding headphones to your stomach, or a speaker; playing classical music, this soothes the baby and is said to make them smarter, after a couple of minutes the baby quiets and you may be able to rest.

it's totally normal!! just wait until you're about 8 months and the baby's feet are in your ribcage!! that's painful!! but for now, enjoy it while it lasts...before you know it that baby will be running around OUTSIDE and you'll wish baby was still in ur tummy. if it's really bothering you, mention it at your next dr. appointment. ask your dr questions, that's what he/she is there for. they've heard 'em all!!

Well, there isn't anything which is guaranteed to calm the baby down, but one thing which I know many moms do is to take it easy themselves. This is not to say don't be active at all, but active is one thing and stressful is another.

This is a good sign, I think: a lot of expectant moms would love to have your problem. ;)

Good luck!

drink a warm cup of calamine tea. this will help to relax you and the baby.or you might try boiling some orange rinds and make into a tea.its OK to add some honey to sweeten the taste. it might make you sleepy so don't drink it if you have to go out.this is an old folk remedy that truly works..

well if your baby is doing that all the time, then you should call the doctor because baby could be getting tangled up in the cord. if its just sometimes then its fine. lots of movement is the sign of a healthy baby.

Cut back on your sugar intake! Like Water instead of Cola!

You'll miss that once baby comes so I would say try to enjoy it!

Do some activity - walking, sex, swimming - the rocking motion of your body should put baby back to sleep
