Pregnancy & Parenting - 7 December 2006

i will be 37 weeks pg. tomorrow, but yesterday i noticed a major increase in my babies activity i kept track of the movements heres what they were
1st time- 112 movements in 7 minutes
2nd time- 200 movements in 8 minutes
3rd time 228 movments in 13 minutes.
now this all happened in a 10 hour period, and i am concerened about the major jump in activity, i am going to call my doctor when the office opens. but i was just wondering what everyone elses opion might be on why this is going on. also i had some pains in my belly and didnt get any sleep.

Our 8 year old is causing all sorts of problems. He has been smarting off, not listening and causing problems with his younger and older brother.

We have tried time outs, grounding, taking away priveleges and those don't seem to be working. He is fine in school, but is really becoming a problem here at home. He pulled my 4 year olds hair the other day and when we yelled at him he didn't seem to care. He seems impossible to reason with.

Any suggestions?

Since most healthy woman ovulate every cycle then how is one woman considered ''more fertile'' than another? I know that a woman that is younger is more fertile than a woman that is older. Woman that just had a baby are also considered more fertile than woman that havnt. What does being fertile actually mean. Does a woman ovulate more than once in one given cycle? Are her eggs considered better than at any other time in her life?

12 years ago, ( before I was married) friends of mine from college got married and Rachael couldn’t have children. So she asked me if she would have a child with her husband to be hers. I agreed. It all worked out and I had a girl for Rachael. They named her Ava and thanked me greatly. I never really think about Ava being from me I think of her as this sweet 11 year old girl that lives 3 doors down. I now have 5 children, a wonderful husband and a loving family. A couple months ago my friend Rachael tragically died of breast cancer. We miss her dearly!! Her husband has asked if I would consider adopting Ava, because its really hard for him. I don’t know what to do!! 6 kids would be so much!! I really want to because I love Ava but I don’t know…. What do you think? How should I approach my husband? Thank you for the advice!!

Ok so me and my significant other suspect that i am pregnant. I am 17 he's 17. He will be 18 in march and i in July. If i am pregnant then i will be around 7 months when i turn 18. I have friends that could take me to the doctor and i can also go so my parents never find out. But i know that if i tell them then they would send me to an all girls school and not let me have the baby. I want the baby too.This came a little more expected then we anticipated. We have been together for a long time and have talked about this before and we are planning on getting married in September. Looks like a little one will be on its way then as well. Is it possible to keep this a secret till i am 18. I am not a very skinny girl any ways. Not fat but not skinny so it would just look like i have gained a lot of weight. and also any prenatal vitamins you can get over the counter that wont make you really sick?

3 days ago my BF calls and tell me that he has something very important to tell me. He tells me that his ex GF called him and told him she was pregnant by him. The last time (according to him) they had sex was in early April.

He and I started messing around/talking in March and became an item sometime in April. Ever since I can remember my BF tells me that he can't stand this girl and that their relationship was 'rocky' for the few month they were 2gether. And once I got into the picture she's been jealous and wanting him back.

The girl says that she's 7 months pregnant and is due in early Feb (she's going to doctr. on tues. to get actual date). She claims to have just found out about her pregn. because she went to the dctr. saying that her stomach was getting big and apprently he issued a preg. test. All the while she's said to still had her period.

Without any actual dates at this time, what do you think of this dilema? or chances of him impregnating her?

I am 38 weeks. I think I lost my mucus plug last night (thick, yellowish jell-o like clump) I started getting contractions/braxton hicks last night as well, but they went a way. Some of them were very painful. I am extremely tired and I had diarrhea this morning. I am scheduled for a c-section on December 15th. Is she going to be here before then??

Due to medical reasons I'm having to schedule a c-section and I'm kinda nervous about the surgery. Would anyone be kind enough to share their experience with me? (both good and bad- but please be completely honest). I've heard some good stories and some real horror stories, and as I said I'm just really nervous about the whole thing. Any thing shared would be appreciated.
