12 years ago, ( before I was married) friends of mine from college got married and Rachael couldn’t have children. So she asked me if she would have a child with her husband to be hers. I agreed. It all worked out and I had a girl for Rachael. They named her Ava and thanked me greatly. I never really think about Ava being from me I think of her as this sweet 11 year old girl that lives 3 doors down. I now have 5 children, a wonderful husband and a loving family. A couple months ago my friend Rachael tragically died of breast cancer. We miss her dearly!! Her husband has asked if I would consider adopting Ava, because its really hard for him. I don’t know what to do!! 6 kids would be so much!! I really want to because I love Ava but I don’t know…. What do you think? How should I approach my husband? Thank you for the advice!!

Oh how incredibly sad. If it's how you will be able to financially support Ava, no worries there. She should have some sort of SS benefits to help out. After 5 kids (I have five myself) what is one more? It will be hard, and Ava is going to need a long time to adjust, but more than ever she needs someone to be there for her.

Be completely honest with your husband and maybe all the adults involved can meet up and discuss the best thing to do for Ava.

if you had hidden this fact from your husband, you can still ask him since he knows that family.

tell the adopted father your financial situation....and ask him if he can financially help you.

tell him the poor child lost her mother...it will be hard
for her to leave her father so far she knew...your friend should have discussed these things when she got this deadly desease.

you can ask social services to help you if father can't afford...you can tell them the truth...I am sure they will help and keep your secret.

or if it does not work, just bring her home...........God will provide for her...if you can take care 6 kids..one more will not be a burdon.
if she was a baby, many would adopt her...but at 11 it is a bit hard. you can also ask your relatives or your or adopted fathers parents if they are willing to do so.
you must discuss everything with adopted father ...poor child should not lose father after she lost mother.
if nothing works bring your daughter home . no matter what you have to do.

Are you writing a book and just cant figure out how to end it? But if that's not the case you should approach your husband, and adopt Ava.. After all she is your daughter....

Wow, thats a tough situation, but if you love her you want the best for her. If it was me I would probably do it, but 6 kids are alot, I would sit down with your husband and talk to him about it, it couldnt hurt to ask.

i think that you should just tell him that you need Ava to be part of the family now. Tell him how much it means to you and how much you and she both need this.
