Hi, I just want to say don't take a pack of birth control pills because someone on here tells you to! I considered that idea if I ever got pregnant b/c I had heard the same thing. It's not true if you do the research I did. When you get the RU 486, you have to do two follow up visits with your doctor! I know someone who did this and it's not as easy as just taking a bunch of pills instead of the RU 486. Don't risk taking all these pills and end up still being pregnant and then you could change your mind again and have a messed up child b/c of a rash decision. Take the RU 486 if that's what you want to do or get the abortion procedure. Please.

THESE ANSWERS ARE ALL WRONG! It would appear that people think you are looking for the morning after pill. RU486, as you probably know, is not the morning after pill. It is a pill that will cause your body to abort/miscarry an established pregnancy. You can only get it in a clinic or hospital that does surgical abortions as well. You have to take it there, and it is a few does over the course of 24 hours. It will cause you to miscarry within 3 days, and it costs about the same as a surgical abortion. You absolutely cannot get it without being under a doctor's supervision.

Planned Parenthood, any local abortion clinics, your doctor's office. It's a medical procedure to take this pill, and you will be under a doctor's supervision.

In some states (US) you don't need a prescription. Just go see your pharmacist. However in most states, all you need to do is see your Dr or nurse and he/she will give you a prescription.
If you happen to have birth control pills and you have an entire month's supply, eat them all in one shot. It works the same as the RU486.

is this the same as "the day after pill"..if it is....you can get them at your regular pharmacy...almost all of them carry the day after pill, but don't announce it..because they would have "pro-life people" complaining.
It does require a perscription.
hope this helps.
