I am 24 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing sharp pain in my left ribcage for two days now. What in the world is going on? I have bi-weekly ultrasounds and my baby IS NOT up there! What's going on and is there anything I can do to soothe it? It really hurts!

My throat is sore and dry, my nose is stuffy and runny. I can't breathe through my nose, but I can barely breathe through my mouth because when I do my throat feels like it's being cut! It sucks! I called my nurse and she said to gargle with salt water and I can use throat sprays and cough drops. But, that doesn't help my nose. Any advice would be great!

Been trying to conceive for the past 3 months...Men please tell me your views on this...If you and your wife are trying to conceive...How often do you feel that you should be making love?...Also, do what are your beliefs? Do you feel that a child is a blessing and that it's God that will bless you with a child?

My wife had a blood test of some sort, fetal screening, and we were told that there was a 1 in 87 chance of our child being born, or not even born, with this rare genetic form. Since then, we have had numerous ultra-sounds to determine the outcome, but have yet to learn. We have heard from others that have had this test that they were all tested positive as well. This being a rare disease, we question the accuracy of this testing. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as it has caused a great amount of stress and fatigue on both of us.

I have a 14 yr old girl and a 12 yr old son and all they do is bicker back and forth...complain........they are the most negative kids....If its not an xbox or a computer, they are NOT interested....they dont help me do anything and complain when i ask for help....they dont get into trouble and have great grades, etc but they are MISERABLE to be around. It makes me hate being a parent at times.

I envisioned the holidays baking, putting up decorations, shopping...just having good family fun, but they ruin everything...it makes me want to crawl up in the bed and say to hell with it.

she was such a sweet little girl (sigh) but lately it seems like she cares nothing about her belongings, to the point where I am now making her throw away things that havent been put away.. sounds harsh i know but its honestly im at my wits end, like she just doesnt give a monkeys. The way she speaks to me is abominable and i dont let her get away with it, she gets told off then if it happens again she gets sent out of the room, ive tried praising her for being good and ignoring her bad behaviour but shes just horendous! is there such a thing as terrible 7's!?

Everytime my baby is sick my husband catches it, but I am the one wiping the snotty nose, cleaning up vomit, doing the laundry, sharing drinks and toothbrushes, changing diarhea diapers etc... and he is away at work all day but I never get it. Shouldnt I be the one catching it everytime.

I pulled something in my back and I went to an Urgent Care clinic. The doctor told me the muscles were pulled or inflamed in my lower back and it was NOT pregnancy related. I am 14.5 weeks along and he prescribed 3 medications. They were Hyrdocodone (for pain), Cyclobenzaprine (to relax muscles) and Naproxen sodium (reduce infamation). I checked with the Doctor and the Pharmacy and all 3 were said to be safe. I only have a week's supply and I am not taking the full amount for a DAY either (only 1 naproxen not 2, only 3 hyrdocodone not 6, and only 2 a cyclobenzaprine not 3). Will the baby be okay? It's just so painful and I have to work or risk losing my job, but the baby is more important. Anyone know about these medications or taken them during pregnancy?

I plan to breastfeed my third child when she gets here next month. Some of my family members are disgusted by that and don't think I should attend family functions if I need to feed her unless I banish myself to the back room. Even if done modestly, some of them feel the sound of the sucking baby is disgusting. However, the sucking from a bottle is somehow OK.

I was very hurt by the reaction and felt very ganged up on when we talked about it. Some people feel the breasts are only for sexual reasons, and if a woman breastfeeds, they don't want to explain why the baby is suckling on my breast to their children. Is this sick or what? I wonder how they explain those magazines at the grocery store check out and the commercials, movies and video games to their children.

I would love your honest opinions on this.

My son is 17 mos old and he is now out of the "baby" stage where he just cries to cry but he is now starting to test us with the tantrums. How do you win these fights without feeling like a bad mom. Everytime I either let him cry or put my foot down for real I feel so guilty. Especially with the eating part, if he wants a popsicle at 9 in the morning I will give it to him, and at dinner he refuses to touch a vegetable, period. and my husband is the one who thinks we should force it and I dont. i mean how do you force a 17 month old to eat veggies without shoving them down his throat. My side of that is there are things I dont like at 26 years old and no one forces me to eat them, so why should he have to eat peas, maybe he actually doesnt like peas. What to do without being overwhelmed by guilt

Has anyone ever heard of a 2 yr old getting a hemorrhoid? I think my guy has one. It looks uncomfortable, but he hasn't expressed any discomfort. Its not bleeding. The funny thing is that he NEVER has hard stools. They are always very soft. So I don't know why he would even get one. If you have heard of this or experienced it, what did you do about it? Thanks in advance.

My son is a happy bright 7 yr old , but has chosen to be friends with some boys in his class that are how do i say "on the wild side". He often tells me about trouble theyve been in at school fighting swearing (swearing at the teacher !) kicking balls at windows ect . Recently one of these lads has been coming in for him after school and when they go out i dread what they are getting up to. We only moved to the area recently and he doesnt know many children i think he,s excited someone wants to be his friend.ive tried saying "why dont you play with wee billy he,s a nice lad" but no , he tells me he,s got friends he likes and they have great fun (its the kind of fun that worries me!) I know everyone thinks their own children are fine but he really is a good wee lad thats never been in trouble(that i know of anyway) what do i do? id hate him to start getting into trouble just to stay in the gang.any ideas or similar experiences would be appreciated.

A few nights ago my grandma made the comment that my son is sick alot. But to the best of my memory he has had the stomach virus thing twice and a head cold 4 times. He is 17 months. To me that doesnt seem too bad. Is that too many for a baby of his age?

Can someone give me a pat on the back, maybe a trophy or something for going 7 months now without "action" without complaining too much? I mean seriously I'm a pretty hot guy, I don't know how my wife can resist me (I'm serious), but she's had concerns and now Dr. orders not to, so we just have not done it since we found out she was pregnant. I'm such a great husband. Thanks.
