Has anyone ever heard of a 2 yr old getting a hemorrhoid? I think my guy has one. It looks uncomfortable, but he hasn't expressed any discomfort. Its not bleeding. The funny thing is that he NEVER has hard stools. They are always very soft. So I don't know why he would even get one. If you have heard of this or experienced it, what did you do about it? Thanks in advance.

Yes, I can see it. Very well, actually.

His stools are always soft...its strange that he would get one. I think I will call the ped.

yes babies can get them as well because they strain alot more than we do when they are going poop.....seeing that he has soft poop maybe he is not pushing right (meaning more effective) i would talk to his doc just to be safe

To put you at ease, I had hemorroids as a kid of 3. I was terribly constipated. It happens mostly to children who are bottle fed and weren't nursed much or at all by their mom. Also, watch his intake of food. Try to give him an apple a day and if he will eat, dry fruits - chopped up. It should help. Let the Pediatrician know and get a diet schedule for him...foods that will help ease his poop out without hurting him or making him struggle.

Can you see a little 'balloon' protruding from his anus, or along the outside of his anus?

if theres nothing there then its not hemriods.

Kids get gas and painful stools even though theyre not constipated.

It's pretty unlikely that he's got an issue.
