Anything that is a decongestant is a stimulant and dangerous to your baby. Because of that you cannot take any cold medications. i dont care what other people say, or other peoples doctors say. Its not healthy for the baby, and doctors know this. Its been proven.
You can however use a saline nose spray 3-4 times a day, and keep your nose blown. That alone will help a lot. So will staying active.
Generally, you CAN take a tussin (store brand or robitussin) WITHOUT any letters following it. Not tussin-d, or DC, or M or anything. Just tussin. Ask your doctor which one is best, and ask the pharmasist to pick it out for you so you get the right one. Tussin helps loosen mucus, and it might help you.
Drink a lot of water, and stay active. Those things help as well.
Colds only have a 10 day maximum in the body before the virus starts to wind down. It wont last forever.

I'm 25 weeks as well and I had a prenatal check up last monday and I have like the worst sinus cold ever. I ask my doctor what could I use and she told me to take Tylenol Sinus. Which made me happy. So i'm not as stuffy and make sure you drink plenty of fluids. Hope you feel better.

My obgyn told me when I got sick that I could take tylenol cold and sinus or any tylenol product! The dr can prescribe you an antibiotic. The most common ones they prescribe are amoxicillin, and keflex. Good luck hun! I know how it is to be sick during pregnancy! I nearly had phnemonia and it was awful!

I asked my doc the same question and this is what I was told. Tylenol, Robetussin, Sudafed...even claritin if necessary. The main thing is to make sure those are the REGULAR stregnths. No Robetussin DM. No combination meds. Even though Robentussin DM has sudefed, you'd have to take them individually.

tylenol cold or severe cold, anything made by tylenol you can take, even robutussin D is what my doc told me to take, but didnt seem to help much.
Good Luck and feel better, pregnant women seem to always be sick and they hold onto sicknesses longer than normal.

When I was pregnant I was allowed to take sudafed. It helped a lot. That was 5 years ago so check with your Dr. first. So many things have changed since then so checking with your Dr. would be a good idea. Good Luck!!

Drink lots of water. Water will flush out toxins from your body.
When I'm sick, I drink lots of water, even when I have a headache and I seem to heal faster when I don't drink lots of water.

you can take some tylenol for the general uncomfort but you cannot take any cold medicine. I have had 2 colds since pg and my dr only aloowed me to take tylenol to treat fever and headache...but the actual cold symptoms she told me I had to deal with them. You can take chewable or drinkable vitamin C..and for your throat you can also take a tablespoon of honey with half a lemmon juice on it.
