I just had a massive monster fight with my mother in law and now I am feeling kinda crap in my belly. I am 20 weeks pregnant, and it feels like my belly is really tight, in a really uncomfortable way. It kind of comes and goes, and I am scared for the babies safety. Am I over reacting?

how is it possible for a preschool teacher to teach my son phonic (the sound of letters) if she has a really strong accent, so the way she says the letters is totally different to the way we say the letters?

I'm 2 days late but i'm on the pill and i'm always early with my periods. I started my pack a day late and haven't been faithfull with taking my pill at an exact time during the day. My boobs are swallon, i'm nauseous after every meal, and I have no signs of pms coming on. Do you think i'm pregnant?

Hey all. Im just curious, I know diarrhoea can be a sign of labour etc in pregnancy but im wondering if its a bad thing to have had diarrhoea for over a week.

Also, has anyone else ever had problems with their hands being numb when you wake up at night its getting really annoying because I cant close my hands properly in the mornings as they are so numb.

We've just moved house and have a lot less than no money! I don't want to compound the problem by buying lots of stufff at Christmas and am willing to make stuff. Any ideas?
We have been given one great idea of filling a huge box with balloons and wrapping it nicely!

My gf's period started on the 20th and ended on the 25th sep.

We had 1 unprotected sex on the 27th sep which was 2 days later, which I did not ejaculate inside her at all. Today it's the 2 nov, she still had not get her period yet. Since then, we did not had any forms of sex till now. She does not have this missed period issue, but i knew she was very stressed last few weeks, and due to moving to a new place, she's exerted lots of physical strength when carrying things around. I've ask her about early signs of pregnancy, but she does not have them.

I'm very worried now and would really like to know if she's pregnant. If she's not, why is it that she's missing her period for so long?

I'm really a bit freaked out now and pls help me out.

I think time-outs are creating a society of criminal behavior and acceptance. This incarceration theme has been perpetrated on innocent parents in hopes they will buy the author's publication teaching them something that is not natural. They are nothing more than a prison guard's training manual.

Children are not animals that need to be tied up or confined in a small area. Imagine the hands that once loved you are now holding you against your will. The child is confined as we confine those that commit the most heinous crimes in society. The more serious the crime the longer the criminal/child must be confined.

However we treat our children as the worst criminals are treated with solitary confinement. Forcing the child not to communicate and confined to a small area is cruel and should never be tolerated by a civilized society. A proud parent of a child that is confined to a corner, not allowed to speak or play sickens me.

Don't you think CRB checks are not worth the paper they are printed on. You have to admit to using different names- why would you if you had something to hide. I had to work at a day nursery yesterday- I'm agency staff, but the are still supposed to check it, I hadn't been told to take it so didn't have it on me, but when I remembered that I had a scanned copy on e-mail they couldn't be bothered to look at oit anyway. Don't you think they are taking the issue a little too lightly?

I am feeding him solids, a good varied diet which he enjoys. He was sleeping through the night until 3 weeks ago when he had a cold and a cough and was waking up because of this. but he probably was not getting as much food in the middle of the day so he was waking with hunger too. Now the cold is cleared up, his appetite is back but he is still waking. we have tried the contented little baby advice of topping him up around 11pm and he will sleep through but I want to cut this out. Is he too young for supper??? Will he be getting too much food....he is a big boy

Well I'm having a cute little baby boys in a few more weeks and my hubby and I haven't really made up our minds about a name! So can you please tell me which one you think is cuter? The doctor thinks the boys will have blonde hair with black highlights and a pale-ish or tan-ish skin color. Anyway they'll also have dark brown eyes and they'll have pink-ish lips!! I hope they have rosey cheeks! ANYWAY...here are the names we thought of:
Brent&&Bret, Marvin&&Marlin, Carl&&Jacob, Jason&&Eric, or Larson&&Jarold.
Please feel free to make up some of your own! Anyway they will be twins and any little encouraging comments that'll calm us down a bit will help! Thanks!

I have four daughters and you would think I got the hang of potty traing already. I had bought a little potty six months ago after she turned two because she seemed ready. She will only sit on the big potty and does not get the idea that she can't go in the diapers or pull-ups. She is taking this very differently then I'm used to. Any ideas on where to start on this? Any books or techniques that helped anyone?
