If it is very early in your pregnancy, like a couple days and the egg JUST got fertilized, most tests will say negative. The pregnancy hormone HCG must have time to build up for it to show up on a test. I would say wait a week and test again. If still negative and you still think you are, wait another few days and test again. I know the wait is dreadful but that is something you will have to deal with unfortunately. When I got pregnant, I had four negative tests before I finally got a positive one.
Good Luck I hope you get the answer you been waiting for!

sweetie it takes over 25 days for a pregnancy to show up in urine, so if you havent missed a period, no point taking those tests. after missing a period ... wait just 8 days or so and get a blood test, thats accurate and comes in the quickest. all the best though.

You can get pregnant on your period, if semen enters a fallopian tube and finds an egg. The egg that previously inhabited the womb may be getting flushed along with all those nasty organic preparations for a potential baby, but the next one in line might still have gotten tapped.

Tests are relatively inexpensive, minor hassles. Ask yourself: Would you rather know sooner, or later? I say, take it again, and again in two weeks.

You only have 24 hours out of a whole month that you can actually get pregnant so its not as easy as most think. Most women ovulate 10 days after the startt of their period. There is a very very small chance you would get pregnant if you are very close to your period so you shouldn't be worried.

normally a pregnancy test is 99% accurate, if you did one last night, then having another one the day after would be almost pointless.

if you're late 20s or in your 30s, have yourselves checked by a fertility specialist. it might be as simple as you both being too anxious to conceive. :) relax. don't put too much pressure on yourselves. the stress lowers sperm count and strength.

if you can afford it, you might want to try IVF.
