Pregnancy & Parenting - 26 October 2006

I am 39 weeks pregnant. I am 1cm and fully effaced, but I have been that way for a month now. I am having contractions about every 20 min. so far. They are hard but not getting closer yet or stronger. I was wondering if this is going to be it..how long does it take for them to get closer or stronger? I am setting on the couch and drinking water, cause I was told if they were false then drinking a lot of water will kill them out..and it hasnt yet and I have drank a ton so far. Should I do nipple stimulation to get them stronger or closer, will that work? and what else. Sorry this is my first pregnancy. Thanks for all your help.

dont want the titles of being "girlfriend and boyfriend". everyone that knows us knows that we are together in every sense of the word, but that's not the issue. we are planning on moving in together in january in which we would be together 9 months. i have a 2 year old daughter and they get along great. he also wants to get married in early 2008 (which would be 2 years) and we are planning on having children also. i dont know how to tell my parents i am moving out to live with him so i need advice. my mom is very into church and dont like the "shacking up before marriage" stuff because she flipped out when i told her i was pregnant (and not married) with my daughter????????

She does not listen to anything anyone says, she will not obey, pick up, stop whining, be quiet or settle down, and she will not stop destroying things (the latest stunt is cutting up - with her safety scissors! - her fabric-covered Disney Princess lounge chair). I have tried everything - rewards, time out, yelling, being patient and understanding, and yes, I have tried spanking. Two-thirds of the time she is sweet and loving, but a third of the time she is destructive, incorrigible, reckless and impossible. Someone please tell me what to do. Granted, the last few months I have been going through a divorce with her father - but it is amicable, we BOTH show her our love for her, and NOTHING is an excuse for this kind of behavior. I am at the end of my rope.

i heard that it is not good to give a baby (9 month old) sour fruits like orange, tangerine, lemon, kiwi, lime.
sometimes i just bite through a slice and i very quick put the fruit on his tongue, just so he gets a little juice. so maybe 10 drops. he makes a funny face from the sour.
so please let me know weather i should worry and stop it or not.

plus, if you give fruits to the baby, does it have to be cooked or can it be raw (apples, pears..., not the banana)???

im in middle school and when there is a hot girl everybody doesn't say nothing about her i mean we all know that people think she is hot but nobody idmits it. i asked my friend who they think is hot and they say nobody. then i list a couple names and they say yeah they are alright. come on

My mood has been crazy lately. One day I'm happy go lucky and the next I hate everyone and everything. I feel fine otherwise and I am having a fine pregnancy (I wont be when the baby starts getting bigger :-\) But the past few days have been horrible! I have been enraged and depressed at the same time! It litterally scared me so much because it wasn't me. If you have read my other questions, I have been REALLY off kilter. I'm reading them all now and saying to myself "....geez, am I serious? Did I actually WRITE these???" My boyfriend keeps trying to rub my back and massage my feet, but I don't even want him TOUCHING me. I'm a little better today, but I've seriously had enough of that, obviously, look at what that "contact" did. Anyway.... does anyone have any mental or verbal advice that I can take in to help me get through this? Something I can read over and over against when I have an outburst. A beautiful poem or something. Something I can think of just to clear my mind, peaceful..

My son will be 9 months old in a few days. We are still struggling at night to get him down for bed. I've tried feeding him dinner earlier, bathing him 1/2 hour before bed, allowing him to play in his playroom after bathtime....but nothing works. He is still very hard to put to sleep - one of us ends up either rocking him to sleep in his room or walking him around. At almost 24 lbs, that is becoming less of an option. Help!
