Don't be fooled into wasting your money on a heavily advertised "learning" game. Go to target.com and see what they recommend for a 3 year old ... and skip over any computer junk. A 3 year old needs building blocks, and other things that he can hold and touch and learn from .. and a lot of hugs and love. Good Luck ! :)

They have ones from ages 9-36 months and ages 4-8. If you think he is ready for the 4-8 one go ahead and get that. My son just turned 2 in aug so I am getting him the 9-36 month one that plugs into the TV.

Vtech interactive toy you mentioned is great idea. Games usually range from 3 yrs. and up. I have one for my five yr. old and he just loves it. He can play for hours. Also they are educational, ABCs, numbers. very good.

The best interactive toy you can give your child is his parent. Unplug the toys and plug in to your children. Very serious spend time.

you do choose that little bit of a wreck on occasion! Their interest span will no longer be too long for awhile although - it rather is universal. yet optimistically they are going to play with one yet another as time is going on which will help you get a wreck. We took our twins out as much as conceivable - they love experiencing different places and it replaced into - is - stable for parents, too. in any different case, little issues they might artwork on grabbing... the interest gyms with putting toys they might swipe at and dealing on grabbing are large. they might lay there mutually, too, and work together with one yet another that's constantly stable. small, easy rattles. gentle, small crammed animals. textile issues that make crinkly sounds... gentle, textile books and board books - we study to our infants from 2 weeks on... they have enjoyed books from the commencing up. we've an apple chime that replaced into quite much as vast as their heads at that factor. they might push and it made sound... a mirror could be thrilling quickly... while they're stable sufficient to hold their heads up for an exersaucer or jumperoo style element, you will get 2 and that they could be close to a minimum of one yet another to work out one yet another jointly as they're enjoying... desire a number of those suggestions help.

it's not electronic but i plan on getting my 3 y.o. niece an art set for christmas. she is very creative and is old enough to keep things kind of nice. i asked around and found out that my local newspaper gives away large rolls of paper that r too small for them to use anymore. so she can scribble all she wants and my brother can just recycle the mile of paper after she's had her fun with it

Well. I can tell you which one it is NOT....Elmo TMX. What a disappointment. Does he have a Gameboy? Believe it or not, my son plays our older kids' gameboy and is very good at it. Finally sprung for one and he likes Dora games and other age appropriate cartoon icons.
