...And how far over due were you? Also, how did your baby come about? I am just curious about your experiences with being overdue and your hospital experience. Thanks ahead of time!

My first one was born at 42 weeks. At 39 weeks I was dialated to 1.When I went into labor at 42 weeks I was still dialated at 1.I was having contractions every minute lasting almost a minute and no baby. They broke my water after 28 hours of hard labor.Talked me into a eperdral(spelling wrong.Sorry). gave me stuff to help me dialate. After 33 1/2 hours of labor it was time for the baby to be born.WRONG he had his own plans. He got stuck in the birth canal. So with me pushing and a nurse pushing down in my pelvic area and docs alternating from forcepts to the vacum cup he finaly came out.

I was due January 17th with my son and ended up having him on January 28th. They allowed me to go one full week past my due date. It just so happened that the date of my last doctor's visit, I went into labor that night. My hospital allows for new moms to go up to 2 weeks past their due date as long as there have not been any complications during the pregnancy. I was small considering how far along I was in the 9th month so I think my doctors were hoping the baby would put on some more weight. He weighed in at 8 lbs, 11 oz, 22 inches long.

with my son Blake i was 2 weeks over due. i was booked in for friday 2nd dec to be induced but when i got there i was 4cm dilated so they sent me home and told me to come back tomorrow if i dont go into labour. so i went back in the next day sat 3rd dec and they broke my waters around 2 pm and by 11:13pm i gave birth to an 8lbs 60z baby boy.
he came out head first no problems at all. i had an epidural because i couldnt stand the contractions, but i cant stand any sort of pain.
i was left in the delivery suite overnight because there were no beds in the ward, which wasnt to bad it was the only night i actually got any sleep.
i was allowed home the following thursday.
my son is now almost 11 months old and i am due for number 2 in 2 weeks!!!!! i hope he hurries up i cant stand being pregnant anymore i am sooo uncomfortable!!

My first child was induced at 42 weeks and was born healthy.
My second was born at 43 weeks natural birth and she was healthy. My third was born at 42 and a half weeks and she too was born healthy. My fourth was born at 41 and a half weeks and I had to have an emergency c-section I was very sick through the pregnancy., was in hospital for 9 days at 37 weeks. she was born healthy as well. I wanted to have my tubes tied at the same time as the c-section but the doctor wouldn't do it. Then by surprise I found out I was pregnant with my fifth and opted for another c-section and also to have my tubes tied we were blessed with a little boy born 39 weeks he was small but healthy.

I was a week late, and my doctor wanted to induce me on Saturday, but my husband wanted our daughter to be born on Chinese New Year, so we waited. Instead, I was induced on Sunday morning at 8 a.m. First they tried a balloon catheter, witht the hopes that the labor would begin shortly after...nope. Next, they broke my water...no luck. I was then put on a light pitocin drip, which they had to increase the dosage several times before my labor started. Then, I had the epidural (thank goodness) and my beautiful little girl was finally born at 10:56 p.m. Year of the Dog, Time of the Dog!! Our little double dog!! It was long and ardous, but definitely worth the wait!! Good luck!!!

3rd baby, 4 days late, huge belly, measured out to 46cm before birth, no complications, 36 hour hospital stay. 9 lbs. 6.5oz. 23 inches long. couldn't use new born clothes on her.

I went overdue by 1 week and she was 9lbs 7oz, but most important she was healthy. I think the limit is a week before they will induce you. Don't worry baby's just not done yet.
