Pregnancy & Parenting - 12 October 2006

Am looking for desk for a 5-year-old that they could use a few years, maybe starting out being a bit roomy. I've seen some really pricey ones, but I don't want to pay that for 1-2 years use! ($150 - $400 is a bit much...) I also don't want to degrade my child by getting a toddler-like setup. Any ideas of where to find this online?

My 41/2 month old has never been in his swing longer then an hour, but he has been sick and the swing seems to work well to sooth him. Is there a limit on how long he can sleep in it for?

I am 36 weeks preggo, I work from 10pm to 9am, night shift, by myself full time at Fedex Kinkos where the entire day depends on me finishing orders as fast as possible. I have the option financially to take a LOA anytime now, even though I have it scheduled to leave on my due date, NOV 11. I have been getting Light headed to the point of passing out for almost 2 weeks now only when I go into work and since my health is perfect it must be stress(high level stress job) Once I get off my shift all I do is sleep until I have to go back and nothing gets done, I havent even had time to have a baby shower because of the odd hours. Im about to turn 20 and this is my first baby and Im just tired all the time.

Who thinks that considering my background, i should or its okay for me start my leave Oct 20th or 25th instead of waiting until I go into labor, possibly at work where Im by myself in the middle of the night? My leave is only a for 4 weeks to start with.

My 2.5 month old HATES tummy time. She just lays there and cries and doesn't do anything. I have tried toys and getting down on her level, but it doesn't seem to help. She is getting behind in raising her head in a sitting position. She can hold it up when I hold her, but she doesn't raise it when she is on her tummy. She is ahead in other areas, but can't seem to get this. Any suggestions?

He's 11 months old and I have been trying to get him to clap his hands and wave bye bye. Do most babies do this by now? I always clap to him and show him how to do it but he doesn't seen to interested. Same with waving. I just wanted to know what age they start doing this and how to help him learn how to.

Ok here is my same question for a second time, I had my period a week early for this month and it was irregular because it lasted for 6 days( I never go pass 3 days). Now here it is 10/12/06 and I have started to spot again, then when I was at work today I started feeling really sick to my stomach. I ended up having to vomit, but even after that I still felt sick. Can a woman with children please tell me could I still be pregnant? And if so could I still take an E.P.T or a First response? Or should I get a blood test?

How do you know if your water broke?? Early today, after the exam, I was standing in wally world talking to one of my friends and I felt kinda like a gush, but it wasn't much at all. Please tell me that it was just the ky gelly or something. I haven't really leaked that much today, but me and my hubby had sex and afterwards I have been leaking just little a bit. Could that be his *** (SORRY TMI)? Ever since the exam it seems that I have had a little pain down low. Like, I have been cramping more and usch. The exam hurt...could he have stripped my membranes. Would I be spotting?

Had my day 21 blood test yesterday after taking clomid 100mg from days 5-9. I dont think I ovulated until day 18. Rang today and my result had come back in as 11. Not really sure what this means and doctor was away so couldnt ask. Can anyone help with advice???

I pee alot, I get crazy headaches, I felt like I was going 2 pass out about 3 weeksago,i keep feeling like im catching a cold,I had a fever for a couple of days,last week the inner side of myfeet hurted the pain traveled to my calves to my inner thighs,tired,moody,depressed,my scent down there smells funny,craving things that i barely eat, superhorny,have no energy,my stomach hurts bascially all da time. I had gotten my period this month but it was only for 3.5 days it usually take 6-8 days toget rid of it.Iwas babysitting my god-daughter da otha day and the baby wipes, pampers and otha baby stuff made me so sick my head was banging by the she left,I have a pregnancy test and i'm scared to death to take it. please help. what's your opinion?
