Well my aunt got pregnant at 39 and had her beautiful daughter at 40. However she did have some "minor" deformities on her hand. She is now 4 years old and VERY intelligent and pretty, but she has 2 really small fingers thats not growing very well, she has had surgerys since she was a year old. She was born with "webbed fingers" and they look somewhat normal now except the smaller ones. She also has a chest muscle missing which means she may only have one breast in later life. I believe its called "poulins syndrome". But she is a very happy child and her mom would not have did anything different if she had to do it over again. The doctor said that alot of older womens babys have some minor problems but every case is different. Some women have have babies into their late fortys and give birth to completely normal babies. So if you want a child than have one. Just make sure to get enough nutrition and take your vitamins everyday as prescribed.

I think I was that age with my first pregnancy - I ended up losing it in the 20th week, very devastating. Then had a daughter the following year, was very tired, still fought grief and depression over the first loss. I never will regret going on to have my daughter who's nine now. Can be hard as you're more tired but keep plugging.
